"To be designated a subsidiary, at least 50% of a company's equity has to be controlled by another entity. Anything less, and the company is considered an associate or affiliate company."

Y‍GE's stake in TBL appears to be under 22%, and thus this should not qualify as a subsidiary situation.

It's laughable that many people think a company with revenue less than HYBE's 3rd biggest sub-label have better year.

If you mean relatively to their own then it should be KQ, a small company with 2 BB Hot 100 this year.

If we're talking numbers, it'd probably be HYBE or SM, but honestly I don't really care about that. And the question wasn't which company made the most profit anyway.

For me, the highlights of the year were seeing 2NE1, and especially watching CL and GD perform together at the Clouds Festival, plus GD and baemon’s album and the girls' Golden performance.

And I totally agree with everything you listed, it was an especially good year for TBL, really productive overall.
