Easily
Where's your vote
well duh...KPDH already reached the same level of like a Moana...could make its way to Frozen level.
Obviously
The comparison here needed to be Gangnam Style
I mean, it's probably Golden. I'm not sure if it even peaked yet or is slowing down. But I'll say Dynamite also had a similar level of exposure, my very very normie friends even knew it and I think it's the only k-pop song I've ever heard on my local radio stations, though I don't listen to radio at all anymore.

I don't agree with that, GS being bigger than Golden is much more obvious than Dynamite vs Golden. GS is arguably among the biggest songs of all time in general, not just kpop.

Nah, I don't think they're in the same ballpark at all.
America is OBSESSED with KPDH on a level we haven't seen since the mid 90s. Do you know how insane it is for a movie available on streaming on Netflix to have a limited theatrical release for one weekend and become #1 at the box office?
KPDH is on the precipice of becoming a cultural zeitgeist, and Golden is leading the charge.
as usual the question shouldn't be if A is bigger than B but rather:
the criteria, data, metrics, weighting, blah blah blah used to determine whether something is bigger

Trust me I'm not denying the hold KPDH and Golden have over American youth right now (and their parents), but I genuinely wasn't sure and knew y'all would be sure to let me know lol.

do you just have these responses copy and pasted at this point?
Easily Golden
I think KDH and Golden will be remembered for what happened in pop culture in the 2020s. Dynamite didn't have that affect where people outside of kpop being into the song. Also being the lead song for a successful film will always give a song the advantage.
I don't think people fully understand how important it is to be the lead song for a popular film. People will often cite the song that's associated with a popular film.
Fight Club - Where is Mind
Frozen - Let It Go
Into the Spiderverse - Sunflower
Karate Kid - You're The Best
Lion King - circle of life
Rocky - Eye of the Tiger
Top Gun - Danger ZOne
Despicable Me - Happy
The list can go on and on, but Golden will forever be the song people will cite when talking about Kpop Demon Hunter. I mainly listed older movies to show the importance of being the popular song in a film.
Obviously duh.
Better battle would be APT and Golden
PSY paid parental duty to Rose, so ig WhyKnock will say she is winning for now

Just because Gangnam Style is in Korean doesn't make it Kpop.

This is definitely a statement

It will be hard for him to do so for virtual idols
But since Psy did not reach #1 at Billboard Hot 100 it is nothing
This is getting lots of new people into Kpop and guess who is coming back next year.
Sorry if that disappoints you, but I just see win ![]()
Same goes for other groups. I can see it getting new people into Twice of course as they're part of it but also into other groups. Though BP was unlucky that the release of Jump came when this soundtrack was just growing viral. they'll probably also gain some fans as anyone curious about Kpop after watching this movie doing a search is bound to very quickly see them when they search for "most successful Kpop groups" or "Kpop girl groups." and try out their music.
The next part is not @ you, but in general:
Kpop fans are often like crabs in a bucket. They can't stand other groups doing well, even though Kpop songs doing really well often carries potential for all Kpop groups.
Lots of people still look down on Kpop and the stupid fanwars and this pathetic attitude is not helping.
If people just let other groups be successful without feeling bad about it, Kpop would be more normalized (despite still getting a gatekeeping reaction from the music industry in the west that doesn't like the competition).
A song/album like this which is quite neutral as this is not a real group and not real people, carries massive potential for all of Kpop. Demons aside, tons of people got a basic introduction to Kpop and loved the songs. Many of them will now venture out on their own looking for more Kpop music.
It’s harder to accurately remember the hits of by gone eras. So I’m not really sure.
Dynamite was indeed everywhere and I remember that. Not just a kpop level hit but it did transcend into GP success in the US as well. I have distinct memory of them playing it at my company wide zoom call lol.
Anyway voted golden cuz I don’t believe its finished its time on top. And this also played on my company wide meeting

I wish we played music like that at my company ![]()
Or Kpop in general.
