I knew I made the right call in deciding to stan MEOVV and becoming a PAWMPAWM

    Of all the groups I've seen at KCON LA so far, especially among the girl groups, they were the best live performers.


    There was barely any backtrack, and more often than not, there wasn't any.


    Couldn't tell it was their first KCON at all. They were loose and fun on stage, threw in ad libs during their verses and absolutely put in a little EXTRA for their belts.


    There were a couple times where I thought "Sheesh Gawon! You don't need to go THAT hard!"


    These girls could do Coachella or Lollapalooza today and kill it.


    That is all I have to share. Other than some pics later. Like much later. Maybe.

    You just have an "It's Teddy, so their discography must lack versatility" bias, but in reality, Teddy only produced like one song for them.


    The content is there. The music is there. You probably haven't even checked out their Japanese single "ME ME ME" yet.

    Yeah, I know, when Teddy proves me wrong I will change my opinion, but I've seen enough talented groups wasted by their companies.


    When I say, it's Teddy, I meant his whole company, not just one person. Next I'll say TBL. You're right, I didn't hear their Japanese songs, but I don't really listen to JP songs from Kpop groups. Unless they're my biggest faves. They have 7 songs, I liked 'TOXIC', 'MEOW' was meh but tolerable, 'HANDS UP' is basically a torture song, I hate songs like that, so it's not really TBL's fault, even if Mamamoo made that song I would hate it. 'BODY' feels like a Blackpink reject. "DROP TOP" is their 2nd best, but that one also sounds like a BP song, I think "Forever Young".


    Okay, only because of you I listened to "ME ME ME" and it was decent, but don't know why it's a JP song because I didn't hear a single Japanese word. Sorry now that I read the lyrics I did find 5 Japanese sentences.😂


    So, overall, I don't think they have enough songs to see how versatile they are, because out of 7 songs, at least 4 has the same vibe and style.


    Let's pray TBL will give them song Jazzy, Blues and a lot of other genres.

    You know me enough to know I hate nothing more than talent wasting, YG and Teddy are leading that race for decades, that's why I don't trust them, BUT as I said, they can prove me wrong. MEOVV is not on my "I don't give a damn about them." list.

    No, I prefer they continue to do what they've been doing.


    They do it as well as any group this side of 2NE1.


    I'm not interested in forcing them off a concept and sound that clearly works for them.


    Their music just isn't your cup of tea. That's fine.

    It's almost like you're saying, you want them to release the same music. If a group is talented and can sing properly, they can have a versatile discography with multiple genres and concept. MMM is the prime example and you know that.


    Honestly, it's boring to see groups stuck with 1 or 2 style. I loved 2NE1, but they were anything but versatile. I don't want to force them to do anything, but if a group or a soloist keep releasing the same music, I will move on.


    If you read my review above, you can see, I liked some of their songs. My TOP5 genres: Jazz, Blues, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop and Pop, obviously. This is 6, anyway... I'm almost 100% sure they can pull off any of these.


    Anyway, I will be counting sheep, it's already shit day enough, I missed Hwasa's live because of the crazy weather here. At least it wasn't her main stage. :exit-pepe:

    Nevermind i just found it...just a short clip unfortunately...but i do think it's raw and unautotuned. She sounded solid af.
