AESPA Under Spotify Tampering Suspicions

What the heck are filtered and unfilterd streams?

Maybe there should be a recount for their previous songs. Unsure if we can claim Aespa are leaders of the 4th gen with this new info.

Filtered means they've verified it as legit and count towards offical charts. Unfiltered includes all streams, including those that may be tagged as bots. Yeah it's the fans. Thailand and Vietnam Spotify are easy to game for fans but if u can't keep it up it looks bad and the song just free falls.

I'm blaming Apple. Considering they are using this song for an ad, it makes sense they'd want it to do well and tried to make sure a certain amount of streams would get through the filter.

Aren't the hybe groups doing this heavily? What's the difference between them and whatever this is?

Thailand is notorious for botting. It is not exclusive to aespa.

If anything aespa seems more consistent than most groups recently. Every comeback they consistently chart on youtube music, spotify and most importantly apple music.

Only a handful of kpop songs both chart on spotify and Apple music.

Draw your own conclusions.

Every single mainstream group has utilized bots to some extent.

That's why when I correct certain fans for putting too much faith in streams being "organic," I just laugh when they attack my faves for HYBE being exposed, as a defense.

Keep in mind that not being caught doesnt mean you are free of charge.

But yeah, the song is also shit so I'd understand why SM would do this.

Just look at korean Spotify chart and compare it to the actual korean charts. You will understand stand why.

Lmao bot streams? More like mass streaming. Every single fan base mass streams the songs in the first few days. Hence these numbers. If the song goes viral the song keeps those streams or even rises, if it doesn’t go viral those streams drop.

So if Taylor received 30m streams for a song in the first day and free falling the next day, it also means botted streams?

Nope its the other way around. Unfiltered counts everything, including filtered so it should always be way more than the filtered streams. It should be impossible to have less overall streams than you have confirmed streams. Only way that would work is bots (like some are saying though I don't understand the how) or (my theory so shovel of salt because I really don't understand bots), someone agreed with spotify they'd have a certain amount of bumped confirmed streams, clearly expecting fans to mass stream and alot of that to be filtered out. But they had less fans mass streaming than predicted and didn't have time to amend the agreement to cover it up before the stats went public.

Spotify's userbase in Korea is very small, so it's easy for big fandoms to push the songs they want to the top. I wouldn't exactly say these streams come from bots.
