Really? That's f'ing sad...

As long as the music is good, their charting shouldn't matter to listeners.

None of these groups are in their peaks though

sixth generation here we come

I’m still wondering about the changing demographic of Melon users as Spotify makes a big push in SK. Wish I could see data on it.

Nice, I see Le Sserafim is still in the top 25.
Does QWER count as a kpop group? IF so they're #57.
Also see Illit debuted #82, and I assume they will continue to rise. I wodner if they'll peak in the top 10
LSF didn't release in June

QWER counts, but they didn't make the Top 50 yet. That does give me an idea for another thread

111k UL gets you top 20 in Melon? This is horrific.
Yama, i dont think domestic charts matter anymore. How can anyone get hyped when Melon has completely collapsed like this? Better to look at Global Spotify or Youtube at this point.

"According to app tracker WiseApp·Retail on May 13 [2025], the combined number of users for YouTube Music and Spotify reached 13.08 million last month, surpassing the 10.37 million users of local services Melon, Genie Music, and Flo. This marks the first time foreign platforms have taken a majority share, with 56 percent of users now on overseas services."

This is a good thing tbh.
We've seen how disgusting SM-Kakao can be, how can you trust this corrupt chaebol that literally owns the oldest most deeply embedded Kpop label to operate Melon charting fairly?
At least Spotify and Youtube are non-Korean global companies that couldnt care less about Ive vs Newjeans vs Aespa vs Lesserafim stan battles. Their primary focus will always be on the North American, Latin American and European music markets. They are actually the fairest charts of them all tbh.

Like I said, 2025 is a BOREFEST!
Meanwhile, everyone in the comments/qrts missing MAMAMOO!😂
Not sure why they say Starry Night has 1B streams on Spoti, but I don't speak Portuguese, so maybe that's not what they say. 🤣

I think QWER eventually gets into top 50, could be tomorrow. They've always been slow risers, TBH took 3 weeks to reach top 10, Malgeum took 2 weeks. Difference this time around is no promotions since festival season is done lol
They're about to do their first ever music show (and probably their last) so that should help -
This group is up, we will see how they do.

QWER Dear Melon.pngQWER Dear youtube.png
QWER's song is fluctuating, depending on the time, but their current peak on melon is #25. The pic shows #27, but the down 2 arrow indicates they were at #25. They also debuted at #8 on youtube music Korea.

Qwer is about to take the throne left open by NewJeans it seems.
