What the hell is YGE doing? He want to debut another girl group soon!

  • I have no words, literally!

4 members, and he says they don't want to focus on just 1 group. Well, he's already doing a crap job with their existing groups. Imagine being a Babymon member, and you see YGE debuting a 4 member girl group, and 99.99% of Kpop fans gonna think it's BP 2.0.

BTW, I think, this move confirms what I said, this is BP's last cb.

  • My current hunch right now is that this new girl group will be in their 20's, but who knows.

He fully admitted they have been slow, and moving forward the goal is to have multiple IP's. Better late than never?

So far, at least for TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, they have been doing an "okay" job on handling both groups simultaneously. Let's see if there will be further improvements, and if having more artists to actively handle will just hinder them from what they started.

    Lastly:

  • Maybe he is giving up on BabyMosnter.

If he's gonna do that with BM, I'm officially done with this company. Babymon literally pulled me back to this shithole company. They finally have a really talented group, so I don't see the point to debut another girl group, let alone 1 year after BM.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but I still think it's disrespectful, not to mention dumb move. I don't think I've seen any other agency debuting 2 girl groups in the same generation. One of them gonna flop so bad, because YG can't do a proper job with 1 group, let alone multiple one.

  • I don't know much about their boy groups, but WINNER is also active, no, they're just in the military or something? And now they will have another boy group as well, that 3 boy groups, and 2 girl groups so far.

  • Wrap Up about what YG said about new GG

    1. 4 members, he selected them, said didn't want more to not overlap too much with Babymonster

    2. This year they will share their training process and evaluation on youtube same way like it was with Babymonster

    3. YG wants to give them official solo tracks with MV's in next year because their talent is exceptional

    4. And aditional info is that they want to debut new groups more often

  • I don't know much about their boy groups, but WINNER is also active, no, they're just in the military or something? And now they will have another boy group as well, that 3 boy groups, and 2 girl groups so far.

Yeah, all WINNER members are out now. But with the recent issue with Mino, a group comeback might be delayed but still possible. They're still having a concert even without him, so let's see. Yoon might also have a solo comeback.

If all pushes through, YG group roster would be:

    2NE1

    AKMU

    BLACKPINK

    WINNER

    TREASURE

    BABYMONSTER

    YGNGG25

    YGNBG26

    YGNGGXX

  • The fact that they mentioned shifting to a policy of managing two or more groups at the same time as a company, and that they’ve formed a new team to speed up the album production process, gives me the impression that YG is now capable of handling the activities of multiple groups simultaneously. While I’m hopeful, I can’t help but have some doubts. I truly hope no group ends up being pushed aside because of another that would be really frustrating. also I believe the members of YG's new girl group must be incredibly talented, especially since YHS is confident enough to give each of them a solo song and plans to debut and promote them as soon as possible.

  • YHS mentioned it is reasonable to debut a new boy group rather than a new girl group since BABYMONSTER is just new. But a member of the new girl group will be introduced first even before BLACKPINK's comeback, crazy.

Solos then form into a group? Intriguing move.

  • Sounds like every YG announcement ever.

He doesn't want to overlap their schedules, but Babymon already has a fully packed one, and now they have to compete with another group. Multiple boy groups can survive more easily, but I can't see that with 2 girl groups. I think he's just trying too hard to find another massive girl group to earn a lot of money faster, but eventually, the company is gonna bankrupt if he fails. There's a reason why agencies debuting girl groups every 4-5 years.

One thing is for sure, it's gonna be interesting to see what's gonna happen to BM and this new gg, because I already hate what YG is doing with BM.

Someone said, this new gg could be much older, like 20+, so if that's the case, I can see this working, but if they're in a similar age to Babymon, I can't.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of. Just look at Babymon, packed schedule and Rami is already out for a long time, probably.

Sure, they can produce albums faster, but that doesn't mean it's good for the Idols, especially if the new groups gonna have World Tour after 1 year like BM.

This is funny, but not true at all. I mean, 2NE1 is not really active, just doing fan tour, and we don't know when he's gonna debut the new gg. So it's basically just BP and BM so far.

  • ıdk why but ı kinda got 20+ and mamamoo or almost like a band vibe from that group.

  • I'm actually thinking bit opposite here

if YG Ent really plans to drop their solo tracks with MV's, then they must really be talented

in same time this would mean that rather than having fvckin tons of pre-releases this group would have some solos, then group album, then maybe next album, and some solo comebacks

I always said that these days making 2 pre-releases and later main title to one album is just nonsense. It basically means you are wasting money for 3 MV's, and you can benefit just 1 time from album sales. Even 1 pre-release and then main title is very risky, and it's not that YG Ent is in some 'superb' financial condition.

relax baemon is fucking popping no?

    especially in japan

I wouldn't be surprised, because he's obsessed with MMM, but they could be like Big Mama.

Didn't they do the same with Babymon? Okay, not OFFICIAL MV's, but I'm pretty sure all of them had some solo clip or something.

I agree about the last part, btw! It's nonsense.

  • That's not true, the other BIG3 never done this. HYBE is different, they're doing this with different sub-labels. SM and JYP usually debut a new gg after 3-4 years

I think what YG actually wants to do is manage two "active" girl groups at the same time. SM does this with aespa and H2H, or previously with Red Velvet and SNSD. JYP did it with Wonder Girls and miss A, then with TWICE and ITZY, and now with ITZY and NMIXX. But in YG’s case, 2NE1 and BLACKPINK were never active at the same time same with BABYMONSTER and BLACKPINK.

SNSD weren't that active when RV debuted, but yeah, RV was active when Aespa debuted and the same goes for H2H, but it's different when you debut multiple groups after a couple of years when you debut them in the same gen or 1 year apart.

To be fair, he didn't say when they're gonna debut. Even if they debut next year, it's only 2 years apart.

But if they will have a different concept and style, not to mention the age range, it could work.

With each of the four members having solo songs and promotions individually, plus the fact that the boy group will debut first, I think this group's debut might take up to three years. Even if they’re around 16 now, they’ll be at least 19 by the time they debut and I think the group’s average age will likely be 20 or older.

  • It's not that strange if we say BP is disbanding soon, and as others have said, have multiple groups is just the thing for the big groups these thays with HYBE, JYP doing the same. SME have always had more then one group.

  • Imo they need to replace the profit BP were providing! With BP comebacks happening less frequently and the girls branching off into their own careers they no longer have the same cash flow coming in! Baemon are still a young group and can’t possibly fill in BP shoes right now

Also it’s worth mentioning all the big companies are started to put out multiple groups. Hybe has several BG/GG in 4th/5th gen! SM are expecting to release another GG and BG this/next year. JYP has two active 4th gen GG. It’s the trend going forward I guess kpop has always been overpopulated :?: I see no reason why bigger companies wouldn’t want to pump out more groups to gain more too :!:

I hope the quality doesn’t suffer anymore though! I think bigger compaines should be ok. I hope

  • This can work I really hope this isn’t BP 2.0 as BM are already very similar to BP and then TBL has Meovv :!:

It’ll be nice if they did a cute concept or something completely different to what they usually do and YG has been talking about doing a similar concept to Snsd and Twice for years :!:

Worse case they’re another BP and the whole Itzy/Nmixx music being similar repeats for YG with BM, BP and this new GG! Best case they have a very different identity to BM/BP!

My guess is that it’ll be a mix between a mamamoo style group and a band like concept maybe some rock and hiphop influences with powerful vocals. But I’m not sure. a blackpink 2.0 is also a strong possibility, since YG hasn’t had a group dominate the charts like bigbang, blackpink, or 2ne1 did back in the day.

I would like that but I don't think he wants to break the formula of what worked for BP; so, I feel like he will stick with the old method.

HOPEFULLY, I'm wrong and he actually does follow through by cutting into the cute concept with the group, though.

Do you think this might be the reason Ahyeon didn’t debut with BM originally :?: maybe she was moved to this new gg but by popular demand they moved her back into BM :/

Babymon was announced officially in 2022, and they debuted 2 years later, but we already read news about them in 2020, so if he's gonna do the same with this new gg, it could work.
