Who has the superior discography?

What an insult to new jeans that this poll has to be made 😭😭😭😭

i have 47 aespa songs on my playlist, and only 4 from new jeans. thats self-explanatory

As NewJeans sound is more easy-listening, I'm picking aespa, despite liking NewJeans. There sound has a hook that wouldn't be a part of my sleep playlist, unlike NewJeans.

Aespa has good titles but their albums are filler fest

Way below what I'd expect from SM

newjeans, im not a huge huge fan of either but i only ever listen to aespa's tts and like... 3 bsides

even newjeans' worst songs are listenable; i hate to say it but theres a few aespa songs i genuinely cant stand

Supernova (10 out of 10)

OMG (9 out of 10)

Bubblegum (9 out of 10)

Aespa might have the edge in top songs (Next Level and Supernova straight up murk even the best NJ songs).

But Aespa has way too many flops/megaflops like Drama, Spicy, Girls, Armageddon, etc. Meanwhile even the lesser mid tier New Jeans songs arent bad, some are decent or at least listenable. Supershy, Hybe Boy, Attention.

i would like to point out newjeans don't even attempt to make bsides or albums for that matter. they just release singles sometimes.

one of new jeans "b-sides" is a 30 second "song".

30 second song is better than half of aespa's discography

they didn't have the time bro . their full album has been delayed indefinitly since Q1 2024...

Also I chose njz because for me Hybe boy/Ditto/Supershy >> Supernova/Armageddon/Whiplash even tho Whiplash in pretty much on par with Supershy but in a widely different genra.

the other two songs are amazing too. only behind njz and rv tts.

Of course, aespa had many flop songs in my opinion, too many from next level to savage to spicy. so overall njz's discography is way wayyyy superior.

i'd like to add that without a nj's album this thread isn't really fair. i mean more than fair, it makes little sense.

aespa because I'm biased and I don't listen to NJ.

I like NJ songs more

NewJeans have a perfect discography, all-killer-no-filler, you could put them in a poll vs the Beatles and they’d still win.

aespa has some pretty good b-sides but their tt's are booty. NewJeans good songs are really good and overall just think their music is better.

Aespa. Wider range of music. Some b-side fillers but more good songs in the discog than NJ in total.

NJ has good songs but too small of a discog, and much of their music sits in the same wheelhouse.

Came back to this thread...wow the results are epic, just one vote separates the two with NJ leading.

They're a tie for me overall, but i might vote for Aespa to make the overall results a 13-13 deadlock.

Aespa. NewJeans songs all sound alike.

i think aespa's diversity in sounds will be better for concert and streamings

I love that they always have some fun songs for the middle section during their concerts. Hot Air Balloon, Yeppi Yeppi etc are super fun!!

You may dislike their sound, but to call these flop songs, you're too delusional.

Based on the first 3 years alone for aespa vs NJz I prefer aespa’s music but NJz is a close second in 4th gen  

NJZ. A lot of bangers, and their worst song is still nice.

I only like Aespa title tracks and few b-sides, their b-sides are all over the place.

To a certain degree, I disagree. Next level and Spicy are objectively one of the worst songs I have ever heard.

lol kakao payola exists you know. their actual amazing pre release didn't even enter the top 100. their hype was dead. they were gone for too long and girls underperformed.

anyway, aespa are past these sm troubles, from the legal chaos to bad songs .

sm doesn't payola their debut songs much. that's why.

actually they don't payola in genral. in the old times.

past hybe (2020), most companies started to payola and kakao allowed.

and I do think next level was massive payola. that's just my opinion.

I does have catchy moments tho and the payola took. doesn't change the fact that it's an horrendous song overall. and i've maintained this opinion since day 1.
