We should all try to foster a more positive and inclusive environment regardless of our differences in opinions and preferences.
There is enough negativity in the universe for us to at least try not to suffocate one of our favorite passions with it, I would hope.

Obviously my title is not serious, and there are legitimate reasons to say "Im shading the company, not the group", but it does feel people just use it as an excuse to attack groups. Maybe I'm just being oversensitive. Anyways, it was just a random thought I had. I agree k-pop ain't that deep and no need to take it too seriously!
Babymonster music sucks, they can't sing, production is awful and they have no talent. Oh btw all shade to the girls, it's their fault lulz
I get where you're coming from, but I do think the company plays a huge role in a group's weaknesses. If vocals, dancing, or even the music itself aren't working, that's often on the company for not providing the right training, resources, or creative direction. Companies have the power to get better vocal coaches, choreographers, or producers, and if they don’t, it's unfair to place all the blame on the idols. Of course, if a group is receiving all the right training and still struggling, then yeah, maybe it’s more on the members, but at the end of the day, idols rarely have full control over their development or sound. Which I wish more would. It's great when groups can be fully hands on with things.
Most people can't handle the backlash from being a true hater so they have to hide behind a sorry excuse. Just say it with your chest and stand on it or just keep in your echo chamber away from outside opinions. But also nobody has original hater opinions anymore either, a lot of it is just fishing for likes and engagement. I feel like sometimes they don't even really believe it, just repeating what's popular to say.
This would only makes sense if the idols are directly involved in the creative process and have some authority over the end products, majority of idol groups don't do that
For example i will never blame JYPE for skz/day6 discography because i know they have almost total control over writing/production and same goes for twice solos/post contract releases. For Itzy/Nmixx group releases i feel JYPE is majorly responsible - cant really fault idols for that; theyre singing what they are being told to
IMO this is true for rookies and idols still less than say 5-7 years of idol life. I do think companies control the idols a lot in this period. That’s the basis of kpop imo.
For idols beyond that if fans still blame the company for the majority of choices that’s an insult to the idol far more than the actual wrong action like “bad styling” or “bad songs”.

I 100% agree and I'm not suggesting any criticism of this form is meant as shade, as there are plenty of legitimate reasons to put blame on the company as you've shown, I just feel sometimes it's just a form of shade in disguise and felt like sharing this thought. I get what you mean! There’s definitely a fine line between constructive criticism and just using it as a way to shade a group. But at the same time, blaming the idols for things that are ultimately the company’s fault isn’t fair either. As long as the discussion stays balanced and acknowledges both sides, it’s all good. And yeah, attacking groups is never the way to go!

I think Lisa and Jennie are bad people for scamming their fans by using automatic signatures for their albums. Imagine, the fans care about you and spend alot of money for that and you give them an automatic sign album. I can't imagine a good person showing so much contempt for someone who cares about you.

I'm kind of conflicted on this topic though. Saw a thread on reddit regarding this, don't know the full details but I think if artists are going to do that, they should be upfront or just only sell whatever amount they can actually hand sign.

Mostly recently a lot with Illit and LSF, but I do just see this in general. Something along the lines of "their music sucks, they can't sing, production is awful, and they have no talent. What you're saying makes no sense. You know why? Because 90% of the Idol groups doesn't have any influence on their music or their training, so why should anyone blame ILLIT, LSF, BP Babymon and 100s of other if they can't sing, rap, dance or release bad music. Tbf the last one is pretty much about personal taste.
99% of the time when something is bad, it's on the company, not the Idols.
For example, ILLIT can't sing or at least not good singers, but they could be better if HYBE actually give a damn and give proper vocal lessons.
LSF members can sing, not vocal powerhouses, just your usual Idol singers, nothing special, but their crap songs they get make them look like as ILLIT, basically. But if you watch them singing other songs live in Insta, YT or music Variety Shows, you can tell they can sing, so, again, it's all on the agency.
Don't give Idols songs that they can't sing properly. Ahyeon is another great example of that. Even tho she's a decent singer, "all" she has to do is scream. I'm surprised I didn't read any news about her being out for weeks. I didn't watch any concert video for a long time, so I don't know if she's doing high notes every day, or she stopped doing that hideous Dangerously cover.
So, in short: It's all on the companies, not the Idols.

And this is why I don't buy signed albums anymore, unless it's MAMAMOO, because I know they are actually signed every album. I mean, my girl signed 100s of cassettes and give them out for free.
Show me proof, please! I don't follow ILLIT, I only watched like 2 or 3 performances from them. 1 was hideous, and we don't talk about that. I watched their performance with JYP, and that was 100% lip-syncing, and I don't remember what was the 3rd, but I never heard them sing live. But based on what I've seen, I can tell you, they're not even below-average.

I don't really think it's odd at all. People will say things about LSF or Illit and then follow it up "but it's HYBEs fault no theirs". Sometimes it is legitimate criticism, but other times it's just a bunch of really nasty stuff and they hide behind the company. That's all I am saying.
The examples I used are not all great, I'd edit out production and music from the quote you took, since that is typically the companies fault. I was going to edit those out but I've learned in my time here it's better to just get the free traffic in my thread from pedants like yourself correcting it.

Yea I actually didn't know about this at all until seeing it on reddit recently. Apparently Taylor Swift signs thousands of albums so they have no excuse 
But yea like I said, it's not really cool and at least if they are going to do it, be up front.

People say we expect too much from Idol when they already have too many things on their plate.
But it's pretty easy to fix. Don't sell 100s of so called signed albums if you can't or don't want to sign it. Also, it's all on the fans as well, because most of them know this, but still buy the albums.
