I miss when social media posts from K-pop idols were referred to as SNS posts. Example:
"SNSD Tiffany shares new SNS post"
I also miss when idols used the finger heart hand sign instead of the two-handed heart that they do nowadays. I like both, but there was something very 2nd gen and 3rd gen about the OG heart sign that's unique to K-pop. The two-handed heart is universally used even outside K-pop, so it's not as unique.
These are simple things, but I miss them.
I thought the finger heart gesture was modern day idols' thing. 
Shows how little I paid attention to second generation days.
I miss when male and female groups interacted in variety shows or award shows and had fun times.
Now it's just awkward as hell when watching fan cam videos of groups sitting next to each other in award shows.

Interactions, vocals, interesting stages, variety stuff and fun!
No secret I prefered the 2nd generation type of music.
I also miss that kpop was more kpop and more unique, it feels that kpop have become a bit more mainstream and "westernized". It was a bit more fun and "goofy" before. And as you say things like was used in kpop before have been replaces with westernized concepts. I remeber when they used "selca" for selfies long before the word selfie was common.
The process of becoming more "mainstream" of cource started already at the end of 2nd generation and early 3rd generation, but feels like it was a fact during the middle of the 3rd generation.
I miss when groups used to sing live, especially those who prioritise vocals on choreos
I miss interactions too. And I want to know the drama between Jimin and Jeongyeon. 😏 There was a few years when we got award show green rooms with different idols interacting? That was cool. I'm not a long time kpop fan, I am here since 2015 only. But I hate being stressed by female and male idols appearing together cause I think fandoms can't appreciate the interactions as human interactions. I wish more friendships and relationships for idols. They need to feel connected too.
I miss 2nd gen and some of 3rd gen only. The answer is obvious: actual talent!!!
Normal length songs with actual structure, people who CAN sing and live at that, the groups looked excited and gave their all while performing, the concepts were different (even if freshly debuted from small companies yo could barely ever mistake one group for another) not so much ps and actually looked good, the dances were interesting and enjoyable, many of the members are actually pretty smart and witty so the variet aspect was cool. Just about everything. Now pretty much everything os robotised and uncanny valley and overly cultish nd fake.
Variety content and collabs.
Give me Aespa on Running Man or Aespa/Lesserafim swapping songs with New Jeans/Ive at year end shows, or all of them covering a BTS song or something.
Or like Invincible youth with like Yunjin, Ningning, Danielle, Liz, Natty and a few other 4D goofballs.
2nd gen vatiety show, strong heart, family outing, golden bell.
I miss the spontaneity. Today, all idol interactions seem premeditated and forced by companies.
