People, there is no way IVE didn't have better overall numbers this year than ILLIT. Magnetic was one hit song. The rest of ILLIT's discography did not exactly light up the charts, including their recent comeback.
If IVE had a comeback do that poorly, icyruios and catzi would actually be waging war with people predicting their impending disbandment.

More like the obsession with Ive is real. Ive have a whole tokyo dome to do and is already booked for coachella paris, illit can keep whatever was meant for ive if you're saying it was. If they manage to do half of what ive did this year then congrats to them.
I do think they got snubbed but then again ive barely focused their activities in korea in korea, so maybe there's that. They only had 1 cb and spent the entire year touring. A new cb will only happen in 2025.

But I really think Ive not focusing their activities in Korea this year led them to be snubbed, regardless of their album sales and tour numbers. I'm fine with that.

It's true they do have bigger overall numbers.
Magnetic was a bigger hit than Heya I don't deny that.
But IVE this year was focusing on tour, which is also why most groups have 2 comebacks while IVE only had one.
This is actually a good thing because it shows that IVE doesn't need to constantly have comebacks to stay relevant.
They are busy making actually money.
I'llEat and other HYBE groups like NJS and LSFM are using Digitals to pay for Hybe's legal fees it's sad actually.

I think it's nice to have hits in sk, but touring is the biggest dream an idol can dream imo like imagine thousands of fans singing your songs, sharing such happy moments so I'm sure the girls are ok with not getting awards when they must be proud of everything they accomplished. In the end not everybody will have huge hits, but even less will have successful tours so they won last year, they won this year too.

They often come with a bundled in compensation, at any respectable organization, particularly large ones. Just as importantly, it tremendously boosts your reputation and greatly expands your network, substantially increasing your opportunities for accelerated career pathing.
So the money is a nice short term boost, but the award can be a significant long term boost if you're savvy enough to leverage it properly
That said, I never said IVE should have skipped the tours to release more music and get awards.
No lsf didn't take Ive spot either. Ppl forget lsf had a head start with easy era in Feb. Smart was bigger than acendio on melon. And heya wasn't that big of a hit to take over the lsf head start. And even tho crazy is massive fail lsf did have a comeback which Ive didn't for a 2nd time

Not only they had an amazing tour, they were highly praised in lollapalooza us and are already booked for coachella paris next year, not to mention their tokyo dome concert for both days was sold out in 10 seconds and it had additional seats and they're yet to perform there, and sold out kspo dome for both days too.
All I hope is that the girls are well rested to give an amazing perfomance.
Some people here said they had a weak year but this couldn't be more far from the truth. NO OTHER 4th gen gg is doing what they're doing at the same level when it comes to tour. Ive is clearly ahead in this area when they've already excelled in charts before. I'm glad they're growing as artists that not only focus on chart but also in giving great performances. It's a good thing to explore every area they can to become great artists. They're bulding their legacy.

Of course it will go to aespa, but IVE not even being in the running is flagrantly disrespectful. I don't care how big Magnetic was. Outside of Lucky Girl syndrome, none of their other songs made any kind of noise. Their era as monster rookies was short-lived, so it's not like they deserve that spot like 2022 IVE or NewJeans.
I just find it bizarre.
Was Magnetic even that much bigger than Heya? Anyone have their Circle Digital Index numbers week to week?
Yama ignores every single Day6 post that shows numbers that Day6 is the biggest GG in 2024 and how they absolutely slammed everyone in longevity with a song in 2024 that is older than their faves entire current and possible future career
And thus have to resort to using IVE instead with their 1 comeback
