But that it became a viral hit, is simply due to the song - neither Rose/Mars. It is a catchy song & association with drinking helps it a lot.

Based on the performance of every TBL Artists beforehand, there is none that has reached this level of exposure let alone charting.

JiSoo and Rose are the add ons for BlackPINK as YGE were only interested in the money makers that are Lisa and Jennie or the money making bookends.

Having someone like Bruno Mars and a member from BlackPINK arguably had a bigger impact than Rose herself where the money making bookends would have cashed in bigger.
