Holy ****. Talk about wealth disparity

  • the company’s overinflated fees and contract that always favors the company (executives) the most, even though without BTS there’d be no HYBE.

I mean how can JK and V relatively low compares to others knowing they are army's favourite babies? And isn't V album selling is highest among all ? Especially JK who success in US chart, singing in several event ? Just asking.

some contracts distribute earnings more evenly among members. Things like acting may be an exception

I also notice the rap line is near the top, so writing/producing credits could be extra for them

Why is anyone surprised 🤡🤡 this is how all kpop agencies work how else do you think they afford these massive buldings with all the luxuries and amenities plus dance studios recording studio film stages and prop sets and the hundreds of staff including babysitters= managers who are mom dad doctor life mentor and coach to all these idols, not including the idols apartments and the countless cars they ride around in and the wardrobes of clothing and fashion. While getting them TV show gigs dramas movie and music deals? That shit doesn't grow on trees. So obviously when the idol works the agency takes somewhere around 40% of their pay as fees for everything. The only thing the company don't get money from is the idols royalties be it music or image

  • Oh shit. That's not lookjng good.

But on another note. Wasn't Bts already almost fully in military? Could that make their net worth for 2023 smaller? It would be logical.

Going to the Army doesn't make net worth disappear. It would stay parked in their bank account, properties and investments as any other time. It's just the difference between a CEO/founder/owner billionaire and employee, which is what BTS is to HYBE

  • BTS's Combined Net Worth Before HYBE's IPO, BTS's combined net worth was estimated at $120-150 million (approx Rs 1248 crore). Currently, their combined net worth is estimated at $3.6 billion (approx Rs 29,963 crore) for 2022-2023, according to Times Now.Jun 9, 2024

Anyone can throw out figures but what criteria are they using, Album Sales +The last Tour? Sponsorship +Merchandise Sales + Ad revenue + paid content+ membership fee?

The stocks they own are less than 250m combined

How can their combined net worth be 3.6 bil? It seems quite exaggerated

If that is true MHJ would have raised the issue since she would know about this better than any outsiders but she did not point that out

  • No matter how much they toured, they will never match BSH net worth unless they established a successful business.

They will have to form their own outfits so they can claim the revenues themselves

Which is why the example of IU, who used to own her company, is so powerful for them

Even though IU/s revenue is much less than 1/10 of what BTS made everything went to Bang and none of BtS members are wealthier than IU who claims all of the revenues herself.

I will add that every idol's initial first contract is (heavily) slanted towards the company since they bear the risk of the group

for every BTS who are now multimillionaires there is hundreds and thousands of failed/nugu groups

the only time one might get a better contract is through bringing more money in for the company - I've always said kpop idols are the ultimate commission based gig - you only get so much of what you bring in.

If you bring a lot of money in you have the power to negotiate a better deal - if you do not you get disbanded lol

BTS net worth isn't really known but their real estate records are.

  • It's still bugging and confused me that group literally giving 75% of profits to cpy not even has enough shares, and most money went to executives ??! Idols are bond by

Exclusive contract, they are supposed to be seen as partner rather than worker if anything. They are equally working as hard if not harder than CEOs or HR, CHBO.

Hybe did they dirty and can't even give them penthouse to shut haters complaining about NJ luxury dorm.

  • I wonder how bts feels knowing that man has stolen 95% of their wealth

BTS might be wondering what all shit BSH had pulled to get them 100% of their wealth.

It would be naive to assume that Bighit/HYBE started corporate shenanigans only recently, and only to the currently active groups.

Who knows what BIGHIT did during the years of rivalry with EXO and others?

BTS maybe more worried about their reputation than wealth.

  • I can't forget how Hybe , or BigHit at that time, cheated BTS to reach the top selling album position by deciding to debut txt, a group which has gone nowhere and a big drain.

It seems Hybe has RM in its back , fully, while Taehyung is not happy with the entire arrangement . Those who went to watch Lee Jieun's concert are in danger in my opinion.
