Are new jeans good singers or are their songs just easy to sing?

None of their recent songs have a single high note on it... they are basically singing in easy rookie mode and you have the clowns that are their fans bragging about their singing like, no self awareness at all, they are the blinks of 4th gen.

Their songs are very easy to sing. This is why i dont take Kpop "vocals" seriously, esp those fans who brag about their faves vocals.

Like bro, 99 percent of Kpop songs have like a 5 note range with a few rando falsetto notes thrown in. It's mostly talk rapping, talk singing.

Which is fine, since Kpop choreos make it impossible to sing with proper support. It's just that Kpoppies will still use "vocals" as a way to trash other groups, even when their faves have easy street songs AND easy street choreos

i don't watch kpop perfomances much anyway, even if they lipsync them i wouldn't care.

i have my own standards i guess they are a bit lower than yours , but at the same time i can't continously listen to idols like sakura just because of their perfomances.

also le serafim didn't sound good in their encores and they were just standing....and i guess thats fine with you cause they are kpop idols and since they were never gonna sound good anyway because they were always going to be dancing you would never care.

lol, it's cause only Yuri has a distinctive tone like Mori, she's the only one whose vocals i wanna hear live. Almost everyone else in Kpop has the same generic thin and sickly sweet tone for GGs and nasally housefly tone for BGs.

blackpink has even their usual song structure you know some members get te bridges or prechorus. There's some parts that go high for their range and are usually sung by Rosé even if their songs have a lot of rap on it and not as vocal heavy . Well. I guess it depends of the song but they make up with their rap parts. The way I know their songs aren't that easy to sing is when others artists/fans try to cover their songs you can tell .

i’m grateful that they sing in their range, it makes their songs much more pleasant to listen too. way better than some random screeched high notes that give me a headache

I was gonna do a thread about that. I think both Starshit and SM were petrified of their girls getting a hate train thrown at them like what happened to LSRFM. So they gave them easy af songs to sing.

Heya and Supernova are all talk rapping, talk singing and chanting, not challenging at all like the bridges in Next Level/Savage or I Am.

Everyone should sing in their range, whatever it might be. Bts complained that fake love was too high for them but pdogg didn't let them to lower the key. Which is ridiculous.

Even suga commented that these days songs without high notes are more popular, and i agree with this, they are easier to listen to and sing along. I really don't like high notes, they bother me lol

They're average, and their songs are easy to sing. In Kpop standards, they're good enough. Hyein has a huge potention tho.

This is actually true, btw. Even vocalists said it on Youtube that their songs are hard to sing, even for them. YG literally forced Jennie to sing the songs the way she can't do it because YG don't train them as vocalists, and that's true for every member.

This is the best Blackpink cover btw, even as a Mamamoo fan I don't like this. Not because they did a bad job, but because YG's songs are not suited for a cover like this. It's easy to tell, because the other 3 songs they covered in this video is WAY better!

IDK if NJ are good singers but seem to be they can sing and perform good. Their song at level of their voices and that good for PD to consider their ability to match the song. Good singers does not mean they must sing high note but Good singer is the one that have their vocal tone, perform, and ability to sing well within their comfortable range
