Talent-wise the girls do a good job, no complains (although some people were critical of Lia for a main vocal)
But the main issue people have is that their concept gets boring. I think they changed things enough but the issue I see is that they only embody the "in-your-face empowerment" concept superficially

these members are a lot more introverted to fully suit the concept

they are more fierce and probably suit a stronger concept than their current one which makes them seem like 'good girls'
I think it would have been more interesting if ITZY began with a "growth" concept, that shows the members finding themselvesTM and developing their own identities. Rather than the "power empowerment" concept right off the bat
