    1. I'm shocked because it's cheaper than I thought

    2. This is better than a 10 billion or 20 billion won house in Seoul

    3. It's pretty cheap

    4. It's my first time feeling like 3.95M is cheapㅋㅋ

    5. You will never be able to afford a house this big with that price in Hannam-dong

    6. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ the house that Lisa bought in Seoul was more expensive. I think it was around 7.5 billion won? She bought it in cash

    7. This is pretty small and humble

    8. The price of Korean houses is honestly insane

    9. The house is so pretty

    10. It's true that the price of Korean houses is crazy. The house is pretty

  • Nice House, nice location in Celebrity's capital of the US.

    Celebrities like having multiple houses.

Its a modest house, looks very private. Privacy would be nice for a celebrity.

  • Makes sense if she is targeting global conquest via Hollywood. Good price, nice interior but I don’t like the typical US house design…

this doesn't look like anything 'typical US house design'

at least none of what I remember from watching videos about celebs house in US

especially the interior design in Lisa's new house doesn't look at all like things you would usually see in those 'rich' houses in US

I grew up and lived in the US for 20+ years in three states across the country, this is a typical American bi-level sub exterior style house. Just google image “typical bi-level US house”

Celebs house is usually more modern and not in this style. This is an older home structurally and renovated inside interior etc.

well I kind of get what you mean

    but the interior is rustical

about the exterior well it's house built on the hill and overall the placing looks a bit dangerous especially if heavy rain happens

what didn't make it look 'american' to me, speaking about how it looks outside is those bricks/stones on the walls, their color, it looks like those cottages in Britain

for me this is how I portray typical, regular American house in my mind

as for celeb houses something like this?

  • What you posted are newer US houses. Lisa’s house structure is an older typical US house. Like from the 1920’’s - 1980’s

  • not everything has to be a bungalow or a McMansion/McModern. Lisa’s new place is tasteful

in tle link that wsoet post it indeed says it was built in 1924

curious about when the all renovations happened

don't know how it is in US do people need to report after renovations?

    I didn't say it isn't

I even wrote it is rustical and has some vibes of british cottage

  • According to this article, the renovations took place in 2023, at a cost of over $1 million.

Given that the previous buyers paid $2.36 million, they'll make a profit of roughly $590000, before commissions.

damn you are really expert in finding things! Sherlock of allkpop :D

the inside indeed looks much better after renovations, not just more rustical but has this cozy vibe now

meanwhile on the outside I guess that depends on how people view things, I for example liked the previous stairs but I guess they were too damaged

  • People calling this house things like "modest" and "typical" crack me the hell up. Yes, we Americans all live in rustic 4 million dollar homes. Naturally. :|

I will say, her new house is at the bottom of a very steep hillside. One bad earthquake and that thing is gone.

  • It feels more like home than many celebrity homes. I liked it.

  • Sure, but this one anywhere near Beverly Hills would be more like $50 million USD. :-)

$50 million would be far too low. According to the house's Wikipedia article: "Construction began in 2014. Following delays, it was completed in 2021. Niami initially sought to sell the mansion for $500 million, but his company fell into bankruptcy and the building sold at auction for $126 million, a record auction sale price in the United States."

Just to clarify - my comment was only about the architectural style and not that a 4 mill house is common. There are house that are of this style of various size and prices across the US. I just googled and the average cost of a house in the US is estimated in 2024 at $300,000 - $400,000.

But of course where the house is located and the size of property will influence the price. This house is in Beverly Hills, the price covers this too.

This still isn't a "typical" architectural style for an American house. It may not be the most outlandish thing out there, but it's still quite atypical in the grand scheme of things, even if you ignore its size or price tag.

  • Nice house sure, but I can't say I feel it's worth that kind of money. But if you have shit load of money I guess it does not matter

$3,950,000 ÷ 3,387 sqft = $1,166 per square foot, which isn't too bad, especially given the house's location in Beverly Hills and its lot size of 1.32 acres (57,499 square feet).

  • Yeah. I hope it's a gated community because otherwise: wtf

Some asshat on YouTube is posting a video every month on the progress of JK’s new house being built. The invasion of privacy is mindblowing

I just want to say that it's normal for people to know where celebrities live

for example in Europe if you live in Italy or Spain in this or that area you would know where is the house of one or another football star house

the same goes about people who live in Monaco for example

even in my country I can go to one or another town and everyone knows which ski jumper lives in which house lol

Still don't think it's worth the money compared what you can get in other places. But I understand if you have more money than you can spend and want to live among the elite and famous people, sure I understand it can be worth it for her if it's something she really wants.

  • Caifornia is an expensive ass state to live in, but i have to admire how beautiful her house is. Given it's been around since the 1920's I'm sure it's sturdy enough, and hopefully solid enough around to protect it. I don't like very old or very modern types of houses. I like something that gives off a country/ranch kind of vibe.

With that said, Her house is beautiful. i love the overall look and the renovations really brought it to life. Of course the house is going to be worth more and go up in price depending on the work done to it. the home i live in cost us a quarter of a million dollars and god knows how much money we spent just to make it liveable and look better.

and my family still isn't happy lol. I'm so jealous of her bathrooms they are so big and stunning, the interior designer needs a raise.
