I think they meant first time appearance on the chart. Although Baby Mon and other groups did have a full day tracking (ILLIT had 15) so I think they definitely meant highest first time appearance on Spotify global.

they did, that's why sheesh didn't enter spotify global on its very first day of release, as opposed to magnetic which debuted on its first day at 169 on spotify with 1.3m streams with 14-15 hours of tracking. THEN, sheesh debuted on its 2nd day at 69, while magnetic rose to 2.1 streams on its 2nd day. there's a time lag there in what people consider "debut positions" of these 2 songs. so in a sense, it's kinda misleading to compare sheesh's 1.7m "debut" (24-hour 2nd day) with magentic's 1.3m debut (14-hour 1st day) lol, but whatever. kpop stans care way too much about these stats and wording obscure achievements to make it look as favourable as possible for their faves

Ikon, NiziU, Loona just to name few. And in some cases predebut did even better than debut. So it is not a matter of performance.

Sheesh is really a debut if you think about it. First release as full group, first release that is promoted.
