It’s only fun when it’s spontaneous bc the dance relay format was designed to catch idols off guard when they have to perform lines they don’t sing and not knowing when the member standing in front of them would step aside - leading to some cute and funny “brain fart” mistake moments, and giving members with no lines in the song their rare moment to shine at the centre.
It’s no longer fun when idols rehearse the single line choreo beforehand and treat it like a normal dance video, with everyone performing their own lines like normal and there’s no fixed “order” of the line to force them out of their comfort zone. Which also means this trend was only fun at the beginning of its creation almost 10 years ago and had a shelf life of like 1 or 2 years, before corporates caught wind of it and ran it to the ground by sucking all the fun out of it, like they do every other viral trend out there.
