I think it might be the opposite tho
actually general public or overall people who weren't interested at all might get interested now
as for 'fans' they are more popular overseas, mostly Knetz even ask why was Treasure performing on award shows and winning awards when they don't chart and don't even sell that much in comparison to other bg's

Now that Baemon is not exactly making waves either, I think we're seeing the fallout from the whole Burning Sun Scandal and all that surrounded it.
People already knew and loved BP, as they had fans and fame since before that happened. So they were not really affected.
However, most people don't know their new groups. People don't automatically go "It's YG, let me hype their next group!" anymore. Even fans of a lot of their earlier groups are disatisfied for one reason or another. This is probably the biggest problem as these would be the first pool of people that they would normally draw fans from, but a lot of them are alienated and actively hate YG.

Most gen 4 boy grouyps did nothing in Korea so no real difference.
