Do you know MVs who had to be fixed or changed?

  • I mean MVs who got uploaded, than taken down and when they came back had been slightly changed?

This just randomly came to my mind when seeing a thread of HwaGoose

There are 3 MV comming to mind

    • HCUE - I Feel So Lucky feat. A.C.E, the MV was removed for almost 9 months after it was originaly released since an artist had found it and saw they used one of his paintings in the MV and he wanted them to remove it cause it was used without his permition
    • The Rose -She's in the rain, I remember how the MV was gone for over a month after it's original release since the editor who made the MV for the song used pictures that were from Jonghyun's Instagram and everyone who knew these images imediatly asked if they could take the MV down since it was dissrespect against a dead person's belongings.
    • A.C.E - Stand By You, the MV was removed a day after release and reposted 2 weeks later cause of a scene where the member dance around a campfire with a girl and people disliked the costumes they wore saying it was inapropriate against native americans

    Anyone has more like that?

    A.C.E | ATEEZ | DRIPPIN| MCND | NU'EST | ONF | SF9 | Stray Kids | TFN

Edited 2 times, last by JiminieKookie ().

  • JiminieKookie

Changed the title of the thread from “Do you know MVs who had to me fixed or changed?” to “Do you know MVs who had to be fixed or changed?”.
  • infinite last romeo it at first had L and Jisoo as the main lead and in the mv there was a flood as they filmed this the ferry tragedy happened and it was changed to woohyun as the lead. Without a major flood

"Nazababara" by Rolling Quartz had to be edited and re-uploaded due to "cultural appropriation" complaints.

  • Not actual 9/11 imagery, but a rather bizarre allusion to it. I believe there was also some disparagement of Japanese people that had to be removed.

Irene & Seulgi's Monster MV was also released late, and then still had be edited after the fact... for reasons. :pepestare:

    SM is dumb basically.

Did SM eve know about the 9/11 imagery when they edited the video?

I honestly have no idea how that went down or how it ended up in the MV in the first place, but someone playing with a toy plane in front of a city skyline where one of the buildings has smoke coming out of it for no apparent reason is a little too coincidental for my taste. Combine that with the newspaper clippings that had to be removed and I tend to think someone at SM was purposely being an edgelord.
