it's probably because day 1 has just Kep1er from girl groups
and from full-time kpop girl groups there are only Idle and Le Sserafim on day 2
it's wonderful line up for boy group fans but well...
still probably will tune for day 2 because it also has NiziU and EL7Z UP
overall I don't know what people think but for me this years MAMA seems more like KCON than your regular amazing awards because if you look at this year performers then last year from girl groups we also got ITZY, NMIXX, NewJeans, IVE, and KARA
so from my perspective last year show was much more interesting
not to mention this year Melon Music Awards and Asia Artist Awards both have much better line up than MAMA

I mean it was a show that used to attract A-list Kpop acts back in it's hey day a few years ago..I mean it's been getting worse and worse for years now.
2018 for example had BTS, Twice, Wanna One, Sunmi, Chungha, 17, Mamamoo, Got7, etc. I mean 2019 similar. Twice, BTS, Chungha, JYP, 17 and fucking Dua Lipa. Now just 4 years or so later what we got?
I mean on D1 only 2 acts most people would care about with Somi and TVXQ and D2? A bit better with Idle, LSF and 17...not terrible. But I mean where is the likes of Ive, Aespa and Newjeans? Where are the vetran acts like Mamamoo, Twice, Exo or any BTS members?
This is their punishment from the K-Pop gods for disrespecting NewJeans last year and squandering the many opportunities they had to make amends.
Now we'll see NewJeans at every ceremony but theirs. They could begin the process of repairing the relationship they fractured, if they choose not to be petty with their daesangs, but I won't hold my breath for that.
