What would happen if NEWJEANS changed their concept?

They're performing it for the first time this weekend

We will be supporting, they will make any concept and sound good

This is funny to me as I'd think they'd be the last group ppl would have this concern about given who their producer is. BTW, their concept isn't really Y2K, that's just what they're trying on for size now.

Don't think they will have a problem unless they change to a really divisive concept or make a drastic change too late in their career.

Irrespective of the concept, as long as the songs are good, they can maintain their popularity.

I have the feeling people don't even know what concept means, if you don't do girl crush people will say you're not changing concept lol. They've already tried many concepts, probably the most a gg has ever tried just a year after their debut, they'll be fine.

I think they will change concept but it won't be anything too drastic. I doubt concept change can interfere with their success.

Just the various genre instrumentations alone during their Lolla set showed they can carry a genre switch.

It's MHJ, expect her to do something different and creative yet again.

They could change their concept to "Baby shark covers with a fart noise backing" and people would still gobble it up and think its the best thing ever because of the name branding

I feel like there are some elements thats are distinctly a NewJeans sound, but they do come out with different genres for each song imo

Yeah and they never achieved peak success thanks to that, cause people never knew what to expect from them. Like Bad Boy had a really good international reception but then it was followed by goofy songs.

Actually I think they should change their concept to be more 'grownup' so they could appeal to the demographic likely to support BlackPink
