FIFITY FIFITY Is Really Going To Change The Industry (The Fifty Fifty Act "Bill")

  • What Is 'FIFTY FIFTY Act'? Politician To Propose Bill, Reveals Benefits to Agencies

Amid the legal battle between FIFTY FIFTY, Attrakt, and The Givers, the public has been showing positive opinions about the emerging, "FIFTY FIFTY Act."

Named after the girl group, this proposition was raised after politician Ha Tae Kyung, a member of the National Assembly who belongs to the People's Power Party, announced that he would propose the bill on his official SNS.

Representative Ha explained the law, saying:

    Quote
"We propose the 'FIFTY FIFTY Act' to protect small and medium-sized agencies from unscrupulous producers."

He continued to cite Attrakt's case and said:

    Quote
"The girl group FIFTY FIFTY has been making excellent results on the world stage. Even though there was no big budget, they achieved a miracle with skills alone.
However, an unethical businessman tried to monopolize this achievement for their own interests. It has been revealed that a producer, who is only an outsourced production company, tried to appease the members to terminate the contract and make them belong to him."

Rep. Ha Tae Kyung also advised the girl group about their supposed next move, adding:

    Quote
"From the perspective of the company (affiliated company), it was the same as filing a paternity suit to change the family register of the child after external forces broke in. The provisional disposition suit was eventually dismissed and the controversy ended.

Attempts to hijack the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises have eventually failed. I hope the members will also see the issue right away and return to the agency to work on the world stage."

Lastly, the lawmaker clearly stated that this law will benefit small to medium-sized agencies regarding patents and trade secrets such as:

    Quote
"In the case of the manufacturing industry, various systems are well established to protect products with patents and trade secrets regulations, but the entertainment industry is different.
Because various human actions become the products themselves, they are in the blind spot of the system.
Accordingly, in the field of pop culture and arts, we are discussing a revision to the Pop Culture and Arts Development Act with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to protect and systematically support small and medium-sized enterprises."

  • Gouvernement will do anything to protect companies from and their assets at the expense of idols this reaction from the gouvernement proves that fifty fifty is in the right in this case but because they’re rookies and not famous yet they want to crush them to scare other idols away from taking any legal actions against their companies

  • There it is, idols are products.

they always were they just made us believe for a second that they saw them as more than that with those Lee sun gi and Jyj laws but in reality the gouvernement will fold themselves to protect those big companies and it stil baffles me how those idols never go on strike like how do you accept to be treated as less of a human being

  • More than jhj or attrakt, I will blame the givers and the girls' parents. The heck you dare to fight in the court without any concrete evidences or even good claims? This is what their supporters that blaming the ceo/attrakt for this fail to see. The girls' side must be thinking that other idols able to win their case and gaining huge sympathy from gp so they thought court will always siding with the idols as well as the public even with a very weak claims.

The ceo did nothing wrong in term of protecting himself as he never exposed anything about 5050. He never said anything against the girls except after the IWTK episodes coming out. He only attacking the givers all this time.

What make me kinda angry with them is, loona obviously make a huge wave in term of idols contract. It giving lots courage for other idols to expose their company. But this group and people behind them taking it for granted just bc they want to move to another big company. Look what happen now!

Because money talks $$$ it's the same reason most celebrities in Hollywood don't speak out because being able to afford six Ferraris a private plane and a mansion is far more important. This same is true in KPOP anyone wants to have a generational legacy of BigBang the popularity of BTS and the money of Samsung. You don't get that by "biting" the hand that feeds you. It suxs but it is what it is.

  • What a shit head legislator. If this law existed back then, Chuu could not leave BBC.

The whole world has been on the side of empowering employees but this shit head wants the opposite.

He also wants to rid music producers of economic rights, he wants to make composers and lyricists dust poor for the sake of businessmen.

Well following your rhetoric why is the sag aftra on strike when so many actors are rich ? Laws like the fifty fifty law will protect the companies meaning that there will be less and less idols that make money rich groups like bts and bigbang won’t exist because all the profits they generate will go straight to the company and all they’ll get is crumbs from their hard work no amount of money will make someone turn into a slave just for the heck of fame

Unfortunately many people will willfully make themselves slaves for fame even if they don't get paid for it. These companies and institutions in entertainment industry like Hollywood capitalize on it.
