Isn't it suspicious if an idol who's in the industry for a long time hasn't had a dating rumour?

I believe a Big part of idols, specially male idols, are LGBT so relationships are out of question and they only have casual hookups. Many of them with other celebrities exclusivity which helps them to stay private as, otherwise, the reputation of both would be damaged

Worths nothing when same sex genre idols go out people only see them as friends. I wonder how many of the "friends" going out to parties and night clubs are actually just friends

Majority are probably 1&2 (I mean even quite a lot of the dating rumours are probably actually 2...) but there's probably more of 3 than people would expect (as in society in general, there's quite a few people you wouldn't expect it because they fit society's standards in every other way quietly/secretly not dating, even at an "older" age). Having no rumours actually seems way harder than not dating though since in K-Pop literally everything will lead to a dating rumour... Like I'm literally Nr. 3 (which no one expects of me), I'm not a celebrity and even I had dating rumours surrounding me in my daily life, if you apply K-Pop idol dating rumour standards I'd have rumours with like hundreds of guys

Some companies have contracts with dispatch so dating news isn’t exposed. I think Hybe groups do Dispatch photoshoots here and there

They are seen as the most reliable source though, so when they cover dating news it’s game over.

Otherwise other rumors and speculation mostly doesn’t create enough buzz unless it’s a repeated occurrence.

I feel like if I was an idol, I would most likely be the 3rd case.

Historically LGBT people are overrepresented in arts. Of course not to go as far are suggesting majority of artists in any field are LGBT, only that a fair portion of idols must to belong to LGBT group which forces them to hide and equally decrease their odds of getting caught in dating rumors as most of their social circle are same sex coworkers and/or mates from other arts industries like actors and other idols

I think many acctaully just don't date and have sex but saves that to after their Idol life. Well, maybe not for 10 years, but the first 5-7 years at least. It's not that strange if Idols debuting around age 19-20 don't date much, it's bit a pain in the ass if they get cought. Well some maybe don't care, but the majority probably don't want their sex amd lovelife made public in the media. Other is just shy or bad on finding somebody.

But I can agree that when they around 27-30 it's a bit to think they they majority don't have some kind of dating going on, even if it's just short relationships or few dates.

They are all very beautiful teenagers/twentysomes surrounded by beautiful teenagers/twentysomes.

They are all dating (90% of them at least).

And that is ok, life is short, they need to enjoy their lives as much as they can.

Their sasaengs most likely know who is dating and who is not, they just don't share so It won't hurt their faves' reputation. Only If they piss one of them off...

people definitely know. ifans aren't likely to get that information, but kfans and sasaengs often know who their idols are dating way before the public ever does, if the public ever does

they know that dating scandals can harm their idols and the groups, they keep it quiet intentionally. it's probably much easier to keep your relationship secret when the people who follow you the closest know when to keep their mouths shut

So many shit takes, so little time. Even more than usual given the OP. But this is exactly why idols try so hard to hide their private lives from gossip girls & gossip minions.
