This has every potential to become a hit like queencard and spicy but i’m less confident to say it will bc it’s jyp. However if they somehow manage to play their cards right and get enough people to pay attention to this song it’ll definitely chart high

On first listen, I didn't dislike it. I need to listen to it more to form an opinion.
I'm really surprised that Black Eyed Pilsung are the composers/producers of this. First time I hear them make a more "disjointed" song.
I like that this sounds typical Itzy and something that you can only hear in Kpop.

The whole album is very good
The pre-chorus is outstanding, but the chorus is meh and that’s what they lead with in the first verse. The girls sound really good, but there’s still much to be desired. I do like it better than Sneakers and Chessire, but my lack of faith in JYP to produce a huge hit for Itzy continues. Maybe Korea will love it though…
Ok i just watched the mv again and it’s cute how they had little easter egg throwbacks to reference their past mvs: the conveyor belt and metallic lift door from dalla dalla, some of the outfits styling and filming location maybe a callback to icy, chaeryeong with wavy black hair in a high ponytail dodging flash lights from the beauty dishes maybe a reference to wannabe, the gun shooting scene from not shy, yeji’s distinctive straight orange hair and their outfits whilst filming at night maybe to reference mafia in the morning, the warehouse and car scenes a throwback to loco, and the filming montage maybe referencing cheshire? Idk I’m probably reaching with some of these lol but they definitely are referencing their past mvs, at least one or two of them
Message of the songs this album so good. 
It feels like they've taken us along in their journey of self-examination in this comeback. To me, they were emotionally raw on Bet On Me, tried to cope with a fascade of indifference in None of My Business, and are coming to acceptance in Cake.
I kinda feel that they've also returned to their roots in Cake. Musically as well as with their theme of self-love and acceptance. This time updated in a way with a more intimate bonhomie that hints at a vulnerability that they've struggled with along the way which they don't completely hide, but rather feature to make their message of encouragement more convincing.

The styling and MV is probably one of their best of the last 2 years
But the song is really not that great
The "cake cake cake, weeee la,la, la" part is really irritating to my ears
Some of the verse are really great but they feel too disjointed from others parts
Like the " it's not easy, anyway " part
The chorus + the rest of the verse sounded like 3 different song
And never during icy or dalla dalla, itzy music have been so disjointed
And it's pretty weird to learn that it's a BEP song because they are well know for their easy to the ear songs based on all their works with gg like twice, stayC, Apink etc ...
