kinda a tough comparison here because the band did an incredible job of re-arranging Celebrity, where as BBI BBI seemed kinda weak

The vibes of the songs are so different so it’s hard to compare.

I think they both did really well and are incredibly talented.

• One is more stylized and brand synergistic than the other

• One required stepping out of a known comfort zone that their team HAS NOT trained them to do effectively

Both are the biggest groups of all time and outsang Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Etta James and Patti Labelle

Both sounded fine, but a special shout out to Danielle. I loved Celebrity, an underrated SOTY candidate and IU's second best song after Eight. They did it justice.

The Celebrity cover was good too tho

Different type of song, but NewJeans does have a really smooth vocals altogether. Easy on the ears. BbiBbi is more upbeat.

Both did great. I personally prefer NJ's "Celebrity" cover and felt they did a better job making the song their own. "Bbi bbi" really showcased Lia's vocal color though, and I love that it was a proper duet with IU.

NewJeans 100%. I personally didn't like the ITZY cover, the song was clearly out of some of the girl's ranges so they fell out of tune at times.

This comparison is the most stark demonstration of the disaster that is the JYP vocal technique. ITZY and NewJeans are pretty much equally matched when it comes to vocal ability, yet ITZY's timbre and stylization made me rage quit the video before the halfway mark, whereas NewJeans are able to make up for their lack of outstanding vocal ability by simply singing in a natural and comfortable way

JYPE's stubbornness to not let thier idols sing in their head voices is so frustrating. Why did ITZY use their head voices like once throughout the song as a last resort? If you can't support the note properly in your chest voice, just switch to your head voice. It's better for your voice since you won't be straining. I have a very specific grudge against this since Alcohol-Free is one of my favorite Twice songs and the chorus would have fit the chill vibe of the song so much more if the members sang in their head voices. That was NewJeans' biggest strength here, they let the members who could support better sing the harder parts and even then Hanni and Dani switched on and off between head and chest voice.

I don’t like the arrangement for Celebrity that much but I am going with it. NewJeans members really all sang beautifully. Itzy did well too and Lia really shone.
