Friday releases are much better. It's customary for people to listen new music on weekends, it's cultural

In the US it’s used to be on Monday until Beyoncé dropped her surprise album : Beyoncé on Friday.

Also it’s weird to drop on Friday, because generally people listen less music on the Weekend 🤷‍♀️

Wow, I thought you knew about how the US industry works a little bit, but I was wrong. No, to do good on HOT 100 you need to cave and give Billboard and radio stations hundreds and thousands of dollars. Don't take it from me saying this, take it from prominent US artists to independent/indie artists saying it. ARMY finding a loophole because BigHit doesn't want to do payola is why ARMY used Billboard's own rules against them.

It was always pointless...just a bubble which had to pop...

And what releasing on Monday would benefit Stray Kids? It's not like they would chart in Korea. But releasing on Friday they can't only chart high on US, but also enter other charts around the world from countries where they are more popular. So It's better to chart somewhere, than nowhere at all.

Friday releases are for the weekend, simple as. I hope the industry never changes that

I know. It's changed because they realized people listen more new music on Fridays

The reason behind Mondays releases were simple, when people actually used to buy physical albums you could send the new albums to stores on weekends and they would open on Mondays with the albums to sell

With digital music and streams Monday releases became pointless
