first off Mnet could've chosen better contestants, Hyolyn and Loona in my mind were fine and needed of the show, with many casual fans and Kep1ians i agree that Kep1er shouldn't've been on there
i wasn't sure about WJSN since their contracts were drawing near to the end of the road ( glad that most of them renewed) I don't think ViViz should've been there either, Brave Girls i can see why.
i think people also had issues with forcing the groups to pick who was worst/ better while on kingdom they were having more fun together
imo the only group to really gain some benefit from Queendom 2 Was Loona, but it didn't matter cause BBC screwed them over anyways.
But i dont have lots of room to talk cause i didn't watch Queendom 1 so...

Just groups and performance differences.
The biggest 4 stages of Q1 all had very very specific and realized concepts - Idle's Shamanistic Latata, Oh My Girls ethereal Joseon concept for Destiny. AOA's Egotistic performance, bold and brassy. Idle's Lion - Queen Returning Stage, which kind of put a cap on the entire show.
There was nothing like in Q2. Concepts and stages were interchangeable to the song they were singing.
Q1 those stages trended hard on Naver, other Korean platforms. Didn't matter that ratings were low - people flocked to watch it on YT or through social media.
For Q2 - none of the stages trended, at least not to the level of Q1. Just weren't inspired enough.
