Honestly, can't say whether it is me living in a place where I have only few lgbt people around me or whether they are overrepresented on twitter. Because everyone I interact on twitter with seems to be gay. Especially the stan twitter

Surely there's no way as the majority of the population is straight
And people would talk about being gay/gay rights but there's no reason to talk about being straight or put that in your bio since it's like saying "I have brown eyes/five toes on each foot"In high school I randomly found out that half of my friends were bisexual/questioning their gender when they talked about it one time. Previous to that they had never brought it up. I didn't think much of it at first, but in hindsight we drifted apart after that, it made me feel like I didn't know them anymore, not like I wouldn't want to be friends with them, but I would be scared that they expect me to be openly allied with them, just like I would be scared to be friends with someone with a major disability because the social burden it puts on me feels too great.

Pretty sure Twitter doesn't accurately represent any group. Heck it's twitter, it's probably best to not even think about it.
