Would you ever expect Txt to be bigger than Itzy when both debuted in 2019?

TXT being bigger than ITZY now is the truth but it doesn't mean Itzy is a flop so no need to feel triggered.

Itzy still have the sales/fandom and can make money from touring but I hope JYP can give them better music so their presence can be felt.

I thought 4th gen bgs were flops though??

I expected them to be relatively equal but it was inevitable one would be bigger than the other. Not really anything new or mind blowing

I personally don't think txt is bigger their fanbase has grown if they'll do well in their next comeback then I'll change my mind

Yet another lowkey ITZY drag post. One comeback disappoints some people and suddenly everyone is like "ITZY's flopping". What the hell happened in between Loco (which, at least in my view, was very liked) and Sneakers to make everyone think like this? (And Sneakers isn't bad, by the way, you guys just had too high expectations.)

TBH i think what went wrong with sneakers.. wasn't that it was that bad... but the way they initially marketed it.

The first few teasers were very like elegant and royal etc (which okay they had in the MV and everything), but it basically raised people's expectations for something else ie a more royal concept if that makes sense.

imo had they marketed Sneakers as a more kinda pop upbeat kinda concept with bright colors from the get go... it probably wouldn't have resulted in the kinda idk hate it got if that makes sense... cause people wouldn't have been expecting something else and then got something quite different...

i personally don't get this statement cause i'm wondering what more exactly does TXT need to do to be bigger than...

both of TXTs last to cbs did better than itzy's (except for Sneakers on k-charts).

On Spotify GBGB is at 93M (they also had PS5 last year and that is over 100M), sneakers is at 58M and cheshire - 28M. and now SRR is performing way better than GBGB.

ML wise (and i'll use TXTs MLs from pre cb), TXT was stable around 7-7.5M without a cb for around 8 months, while ITZY is currently at 6.8M ULs (again its pretty good, but i'm just stating how TXTs were stable quite high as well).

And when it comes to bsides, txt always did better anyway.

Physicals - again txt always done better (expected since they're a bg)

BB200 - again always done better.

(fyi this is not to put ITZY down, i hope they improve next cb and they are doing pretty well with their stats, including having multiple million seller albums)
