Would you ever expect Txt to be bigger than Itzy when both debuted in 2019?

I didn’t expect Txt to be bigger than Itzy in Korea. Globally it was a given but in Korea, it was a surprise.

TXT has had more streams than ITZY on Spotify for well over a year at this point. ITZY is a singles-driven group, people aren't checking out their albums as a whole.

well , bigger for me includes everything (especially the general public ) if the audience don't know who they are it doesn't matter how many albums they sell....I'm not saying that txt are doing badly they are definitely doing well but it's annoying pretending itzy didn't have any impact. Itzy's debut alone was big and made a lot of noise even with songs like sneakers they were in the top 10 on melon and kind of going viral with sneakers

If only Itzy chose "shoot" as the title track and not "Not Shy", their digital prowess wouldn't have started to dwindle down after

both of TXTs last to cbs did better than itzy's (except for Sneakers on k-charts).

On Spotify GBGB is at 93M (they also had PS5 last year and that is over 100M), sneakers is at 58M and cheshire - 28M. and now SRR is performing way better than GBGB.

ML wise (and i'll use TXTs MLs from pre cb), TXT was stable around 7-7.5M without a cb for around 8 months, while ITZY is currently at 6.8M ULs (again its pretty good, but i'm just stating how TXTs were stable quite high as well).

And when it comes to bsides, txt always did better anyway.

Physicals - again txt always done better (expected since they're a bg)

BB200 - again always done better.

(fyi this is not to put ITZY down, i hope they improve next cb and they are doing pretty well with their stats, including having multiple million seller albums)

TXT popularity/success has always been downplayed and then every comeback people act shocked when they do well or break 4th gen records...

It's like wash rinse repeat at this point lol
