I just rewatched Les serafim’s perf for the second time and yeah their mics were definitely on. Love the energy.

Have to watch the others, haven’t yet. I joined when it was more than halfway starting from Moonbyul’s. But I wasn’t really paying attention to see if all the acts were live. If they all were, then yeah it is IVE’s impact!!

I watched basically the whole show, only missed NewJeans opening the award, but I watched their performance later.

I can tell you all of them were def with mics on. Of course, some acts were more consistently live than others and some had louder backstracks. But I could hear all live.

I was surprised. Don't remember the last time I watched a year end show like that lol

All the performances were worth watching too, imo. So It was a good show.

If you think everyone 'sang live' at GDA then I have some bad news for you.. Many artists rely on a prerecorded live vocal track and sing some lines to create the illusion and make everyone realize the mics are on. Breath noises and such can be part of the prerecorded track and are there to trick the listeners. I saw endless praises for one of the stages live vocals tonight and that stage was >80%+ lipsync for sure.

But this is a step in the right direction for, there was more live singing than usual. Maybe the controversy will lead to something good in K-Pop.

Well, don't know what everyone is commenting on other social media, but here I only mentioned I heard mics on in all the performances. There's an abyss between saying all the performances were live.

I noticed too, some had more consistent live vocals than others and some were relying more on loud backtrack/lipsync. But as you said, It was better than usual and what I'm used to lol

I don't think so. I have performances from GDA on my mind that were all pre-recorded vocals. Including 2021.

But Iirc, It's more live than other awards. SMA too.

Kubo did her dirty on this arc, unfortunately. It's obvious her death's main purpose was to upgrade Zaraki's character development.

I agree with you she should have fought at least a Quincy like the other Taichous to have a moment for herself before

From what I can understand, her shikai and her bankai are two faces of the same coin, until one only heals, the other is able to cause damage. Her bankai can dissolve in acid (?) the opponent and her, then restructuring them again and again, like a loop. So It can satisfy her thirst for fight and blood, making them living in the limit for a moment, until someone can't handle anymore.

I read a theory the blood in the Bankai represents the thousand people she killed when she was a Kenpachi
