Why are girl groups not covering their senior label mates songs anymore

JYP groups still cover Twice

Lesserafim is a Hybe group but G-friend wasn't considered as such even Hybe sees Lesserafim as their very first girl group

I think in some event Wonyoung and Yujin covered Sistar

Le Sserafim has NOTHING to do with GFriend. It is NOT a labelmate or anything. The only Hybe gg member who might have something to do with GF is Minji of NewJeans who was a Source trainee when it was absorbed into Hybe. LS is NOT related to GF in any way.

Yeah, everyone continues to refer to Source as an independent entity but i remember reading that Source is literally a label in name only. Not only did they let go of Gfriend, they also fired most of the staff. In fact, someone cracked a joke about how Source is basically one office in the giant Hybe building, with a couple computers, a Xerox, and a coffee machine.

The ex-owner doesn't have a say about how it is run anymore, and all trace of his control in LS is gone when Garam, who was selected by him , was cut.

He can cry all the way to the bank, but given he did nothing to protect GFriend, it is doubtful whether any trainee will ever trust him again.

After the insulting way Gfriend was booted I think it's best of LSFM doesn't cover them. Not that LSFM can't do it, it was just add further insult to injury.
