I don't consider any place of employment a "family."

the closest thing you get to idols knowing each other is jype due to training all under 1 company
so all the 4th gens know each other, but the senority thing in korea really fucks up relationships too

that why I say business
I didnt say SM also a family
it just marketing statement -
Nah, the whole “family” agenda is bullshit. It’s a business strategy, the company wants to retain fan interest in multiple revenue sources by promoting this “family” image so fans are more likely to stan and most importantly spend/stream their other artists.
It’s all about money at the end of the day, some groups have a family dynamic but this doesn’t apply to the company as a whole.

Golden Child is not considered as a part of SM-family even when their company's parent company is SM then why are we looking for parallels because Ador, Belift etc are more like subsidiaries of Hybe.
When seen in this respect, Hybe "family" is stronger than SM "family" as I have never see any NCT member interacting with Golden Child member but we have already seen NewJeans, Seventeen, En- etc interact with each other (Probably because they share the same building).
Edit: I also agree with the above users. This "family" thing is more of a marketing strategy than anything else.

No, HYBE is still too new. Beomgyu said somewhere that the Game Caterers shoot was the first time TXT had met most of the other groups. Sure it's pretty similar with the other groups.
With the senior/junior culture, I feel like the only way they really become friends is to grow up together for a while as trainees.

It's only a company, some groups members might be friends and others only co-workers. Like in any company.
That family stuff sounds like a cult to me.
