If the rumors are true, it makes sense why JYP is taking a no tolerance approach

What happens in her private life unless it’s a huge scandal shouldn’t be a reason to quick her out. 😒
She’s 18 anyway.

I was under the assumption she was 17, but even if she’s 18 it shouldn’t just resolve the issue completely, I think she’s still really young and it could go horribly wrong for her if these rumors were circulated by a malicious source.

sound like the mean girls couch that said to never have sex or u will aids or smth along those lines

I fucking hate the kick idols out because they're dating, hooking up etc
She's an adult and her private life shouldn't be anyone's bussiness..they were probably going there for privacy and to be safe anyway. IF true.
Kicking her out for something like this after she spend her entire teenagehood in JYP training is terrible. She didn't even take the SAT's because she finally achieved her dream of debuting..it sucks so much..
-
She's 18 yo she's not a minor, she's in age to have sex so i don't understand why would it be a problem if she go to a hotel to have some fun with her boyfriend
It would have been problematic if the guy she's hooking up was much older than her
But i don't know his age
So if it's the reason they kick her out it's stupid
-
i hate that people are taking sojang seriously, even hypothetically
she makes up stuff all the time, it's almost never true.

Not at all, I was sexually active way before 18 years old so I’d be a total hypocrite for saying that.
Objectively, she did nothing wrong, she is a normal teenage girl. I just understand from a company point of view that this could become a huge scandal if she remained in the group and it was being reported by malicious sources, especially considering her age and safeguarding concerns. It could blow up to the point of the Garam scandal and damaged her reputation further.
I think the reason why it hasn’t completely blown up domestically in that kind of way is because she was removed preemptively, which is in her benefit.
I don’t support the decision for her to be kicked out though, she’s incredibly talented and deserves success as an idol, so I hope she can re-debut in a similar way to Miyeon with IDLE (she got kicked out of YG iirc)

I don't think it could blow up because there is no proof at all, even if people do have photos of her and the guy together going to a motel, it would still be weird to kick her out on the presumption that people "might" have those photos

That’s true, and this thread is being made with the assumption that it’s true but let’s be honest, Sojang is an evil liar so it’s more likely that it’s not true.
I just hope it calms down, and jinni will be able to redebut, she’s a very impressive and talented idol. I hope the best for her.
-
What? Have you not read my posts in the thread? I am not saying anything negative about Jinni. In fact, I really hope she is able to redebut and I have repeatedly said she did nothing wrong here. & expressed that this is most likely lies, considering Sojang’s reputation.
My reason for this thread was basing it on a business POV, and why it would be understandable under these circumstances to remove a member, even for her benefit so she may redebut again.
But I will fully admit that the way JYP threw her to the wolves was very wrong. I just hope this will will all settle down, so she may re-debut again.
-
So you don't like Sojang and don't really believe her, but you're going to take one of her BS claims and make a thread on it to spread it around?
If you don't like Sojang why are you even paying attention to.... whoever that is?
(Edit: This is a genuine question, not a bash. I've always wondered why people would pay attention to someone they claim to hate.)
-
I mean, It's Sojang. Even If she's right, she's in the wrong
-
the only reason I’m even considering and playing devils advocate that this may be true is the further proofs that were released (not related to Sojang)
I treat akp sometimes like a diary of my thoughts, which is probably a bad thing. I’m really sorry if I caused anyone to get upset or triggered by this thread and admit that I could word my thoughts a lot better.
Just want to empathise that Jinni did nothing wrong, but sometimes preemptively removing an idol can actually save their reputation instead of having an issue blown up and spin negatively on a wide scale (not just sojang’s bs blog). My hope from this is that it settles down as she’s able to re-debut. She 100% deserves too.

Sorry, I edited my post. I wasn't bashing. I was just genuinely curious why you would pay attention to someone you claim to hate. It just seems like a weird thing to do.
At the end of the day all there are are rumours about this situation so it's really not worth even entertaining them since spreading rumours can do far more harm than good for anyone.
-
I hate Sojang and I don’t fully believe the rumors, especially with how she twisted it to suit her narrative.
But if the rumors that Jinni and another idol were hooking up in motels is true, it could cause a lot of warranted concern and safeguarding issues surrounding minor idols.
Dating is completely fine and normal, but with the added detail it could cause a huge scandal for JYP and for Jinni, and maybe this is a protective measure.
I still wish they didn’t withdraw her though, she’s very talented and trained for so long. I hope that she is able to join another group or replenish her career in some way.
These are just going by the logic that there is any truth in these rumors, but it would be understandable to withdraw a member under such circumstances, even if it’s truly regrettable.
JYP has stated that the people in the company idols and staff have a set of values They abide by,if they cannot then they part ways. BUT he also stated that regardless of why someone "left" JYP they will NOT disclose the reason/details why no matter what it is, be it positive or negative. Because they want whoever leaves to be successful and revealing the reason could be harmful so they don't say anything.

That’s a good decision. The post they made was also positive. I think this isn’t the last we see of Jinni, any company would be lucky to have her.
