They're also adding best male/female group/solo, also with the same criteria. This basically makes them more similar to other Korean award shows, which I don't know if it's a good thing or not.

But gaon is korean based of charts. Why bring international? Ermmmm

Love seeing Lesserafim rightfully outcharting LYW, which is what it should have been in the first place.

Everyone knows how fraudulent LYWs streams are. Fearless is still 26th on Melon Daily chart and peaked over 250k UL, i cant remember if LYW songs even broke 200k back in May.

Now they just need to change the current Digital Chart to the Official Song Revenue Chart, and come up with a new Official Digital Chart that tracks ULs only.

Nice it makes sense. With kpop being more global than ever before that should definitely be reflected on a chart like Gaon.

That should have been the way to begin with since whatever the K-O-R-E-A-N-S might feel doesn't really translate into what the world likes

That should be the way. No matter how much an act might be successful in K-O-R-E-A, it doesn't lead to revenue.
