do you celebrate halloween?

No, I don't celebrate it because my family never let it be celebrated in the household.
I will say that I like the aesthetics and the movies. But no, I've never participated in the practices of Halloween (dressing up, trick or treating, pumpkin carving, none of that)

It's interesting because fall is my favorite season.

No cause this is a thing nobody really does here and people only started to do it cause Hollywood shoved their movies about Halloween into the kids-brain's and than 20-30 years ago the first kids started to do it cause "but moooom they do this in America too and I want free candy and a cool costume"

I would see only 1 in 1K people even does this here and mostly just by buying those decor items they sell in store that actually nobody even buys

No one "celebrates" it like a religious holiday but it's cool to to have very different feel and atmosphere with the spooky vibes from the general love and remembrance from almost every holiday like Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Easter etc. I like it when I go shopping I see all the interesting decorations and shit.

Trick or treating over here..... Yeah that didn't catch on. Plus isn't really safe to go to a stranger's door at night especially as a kid, who knows what kind of nutters there are. I used to post flyers just through letter boxes and I'd still get the occasional crazy opening the door telling me to go fuck myself and trying to their ball of paper at me.

Not really, but I'm feeling spooky season vibes this year, so I'm hoping I can talk a friend into doing something. I love going to haunted houses, but you need a large enough group for that to be as effective and fun as possible.

I own a house, so I've handed out treats in the past, though the last couple of years have been non-existent/sparse to the point that I still have toys I bought for Halloween 2019 that I've not unloaded. And tbh, I don't really enjoy that: the disruption to my schedule on a work night, the crowds of visitors upsetting my dog, having to decide to either just straight up sit outside for a couple hours or deal with children who don't understand that you can't wander into other people's houses. #grump

I celebrate it, but it's not taken that seriously for Aussies, it's more of a young person thing. My friends want to do something but they all looked at me like I'm the one in charge of parties. I already do the christmas party someone else do it tf?
