Yg & Teddy narrative about songs on the album don't work anymore

Yeah, that's just corporate speak. BP for sure has dozens if not hundreds of songs sitting somewhere in Teddy's musty desktop. He could easily put 10-12 tracks in one album that "fit" each other.

I've always hated this narrative.

Tbh I would’ve been pissed if it was only 7 songs but RFL??? That’s not a body of work bitch that’s a playlist. It was the album to showcase Blackpink’s versatility instead we will get quick singles with no flavor.

For filler to stop fans rioting. Same reason they kept recycling the same songs with remixes and acoustic versions before the album and the same reason made ice cream and HYLT pre-releases. YG likes to do the bare minimum for BP and this lets them.

Or maybe to give them a head start when it comes to charting on billboard (not that they will need it) like SM did for Aespa which is why black mamba, forever and dreams come true were included on the digital version.

For me the more obvious narrative - BP’s songs must be written/has involvement of Teddy - that’s why they release low number of songs/comeback rarely - is a lie. Born Pink has some songs without Teddy’s involvement and yet it only has 8 songs. So if Teddy’s not the reason of low song numbers/less frequent comebacks, then what is?

I need Somi to get into Teddy's computer and release those unreleased songs...
