A Hollywood Records bop! In a good way. It works, and it's not something I expected Twice to ever do. Really good!

Basics - 8/10

The guitar line fuckin rules. ... Did Momo rap?

Trouble - 6/10

It's giving me 00s EDM vibes unfortunately. It's generic but it's not bad? The rap bit is great and the call-response stuff is super good.

Brave - 7/10

It's the kind of super catchy, poppy thing that I usually don't like, but there is a darker undertone to it which makes me jive with it more than I otherwise would.

Gone - 10/10

Oh man as soon as the staccato strings started I was like "oh shit what's this"

This RULES, dark as hell, intense like a panic attack. The ticking alone gives me anxiety. In a good way. Instantly one of their best songs.

When We Were Kids - 9/10

In the feels. I just know the lyrics are gonna hit me when I get around to reading them.

This album is actually good why did they choose such a pedestrian title track. I like how cohesive it sounds, with a emotional arc to it? In the beginning, lots of sunshine-pop era guitar, but mixed with, like, very modern Dua Lipa-esque production. It's a really interesting sound? Then it sort of gets darker and more melancholy, which is very much my shit.

Queen of hearts is the most shocking change of sound for me, not something I'd ever expect from Twice but it wasn't just shocking, it was also good

When We Were Kids lyrics has a very bittersweet nostalgic lyrics to it, probably even more meaningful for older fans.

The thing that stood out to me most overall in this album is really just the vocals. Not only is there huge improvements to their vocals but it almost feel like they are making a statement, like they have something to prove. I was impressed with everyone, especially Chae and Tzuyu being the biggest surprise for me.

Trouble just isn't for me but I wouldn't skip it if it came on and Gone is a fresh and interesting instrumental for a Twice song but doesn't quite mesh with their vocals the way I want for a higher rating. WWK is easily one of their best ballad tracks with amazing harmonies and Brave/QoH are both incredible with standout vocals and memorable melodies that I always end up humming plus.
