Hey guys, I have decided to make a thread about the Cyworld Digital Music Awards.
Cyworld (Korean: 싸이월드) was a South Korean social network service. Cyworld also had its own music selling platform which was the dominant music platform alongside Melon in the 2000s.
The Cyworld Digital Music Awards (Korean: 싸이월드 디지털 뮤직 어워드) was a South Korean music awards ceremony. It was established in 2006 to recognize songs with the largest monthly digital sales on the Cyworld social network service.
This thread covers the 'Song of the Month' award which ran from July 2006 to May 2013. So it covers songs from the pre-Gaon era. This award is similar to the Gaon Chart Music Awards 'Artist of the Year – Digital Music' award for the best performing songs of each month.
