I think Kcharts performance are depends very much on the type of song and popularity. BP is much bigger brand however Attention has the upperhand because its an easy listening type of song (very much Korean people taste).

They probably will take the #1 spot soon, they are probably going to stay #1 for a while, since it is so hard to get to #1 on Melon.

BP should have some PAKs by this time next week.

If you're talking about SNSD, I guess it has been too long so the fandom is not as strong as in their peak (I was excited to see them back though!). People moved on.

Attention became a viral song. Generally, it is not easy to pass viral songs on melon. The song was easy to listen to and the instrument parts were pretty good. How to say; chill rnb fresh summer song. The chorus of Blackpink's song is not very melodic but the instrument and rap parts were very good. Maybe over time it will reach number one, but for now, koreans love attention more. I understand why their songs are so successful. Attention and Hype Boy are both not the noesy song style, it's not tiring to listen to their song.
