Let's get some actual thoughts, this ain't an acorn farm.

In all honesty
Why dwell on things that disapprove my claims
I'd much rather pay attention to the things that do. Which makes me happy
I think most people are that way

facts dont exist, my opinion is superior to everything
im the only being that is right
-
stats and charts get me going when they're presented neutrally and not used for some petty pissing contest
-
-
-
i downloaded and resized some gifs lmao
you can find them on my profile
just copy paste it
-
Yeah. And most of the time I try to ignore those people. But I’ll still post the stats so that lurkers and anyone who doesn’t have them can see the stats for the respective numbers being looked at themselves and make their own judgement about the topic
You always come through with the data
-
It’s not just stats, I’ve seen users being allergic to the bringer of stats lol
-
So basically you rather avoid the truth and live in la la land vs. know the truth and be educated?
Lmao
Well when you put it that way
Is it so bad to only want to hear positive things about your faves?
If it was an actual issue and people are being hurt then of course I'd want to be educated on the facts
But if it's kpop or another fandom I'm in
Then I'm willing to stick to my delusions
-
-
Meh. I just find charts and data to be an incredibly boring topic so I avoid and become “allergic” to them in that sense.

Yes lmao like the stats actually physically assaulted them or something :-D
-
Like in society, truth hurts and when you're too stupid and/or too full of yourself, first reaction is denial and firing back, because you don't want to look like a
But, little do these people know, they look more like a when they act berserk and scream like hyenas, instead of saying "oh really? I didn't know that, thanks for giving me facts"
People are also afraid of admitting they don't know everything so it ends up looking embarrassing. It is a timeless trait of humans at this point.

Here's the thing though...Why do you have to think of accuracy as negative? This is the root issue imo.
Wouldn't you wanna know what the right answers are so you don't spread false information and get clowned?
-
-
It may be accurate but that doesn't mean i want to hear it
At the end of the day i think it's certainly a choice
But im not hurting anyone with it so

Totally agree and I think we've all been guilty of it before.
It's way better to just say oops I didn't know or whoops thanks etc. Basically everyone needs to eat some humble pie.

YOU GOT A TAEHYUN BADGE AAAAAHH
OT: Stats and charts are okay as long as they aren't used to fuel petty fanwars. Bragging about achievements for the sake of fanwars and making your fave look "better" than others will look irritating and annoying to outsiders.
But of course if they're used to correct others then I personally see no problem.
-
Fair points! It's sad that anger is directed at people for just spreading the truth. Trippy tbh...

OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUU

There's nothing wrong with bragging about achievements unless it's those random ones that make no sense like first group with 6 members in February to get... Or they are made up/false. If you feel bad at someone else's achievements than that's on you imo.
-
They have some more on their profile.!
Could you add and too please...?

Indeed, a lot of humble pie for some people tbh. I think it comes from inner insecurities for most people, especially if they're proved wrong in front of others.
Let's hope it gets less of a thing sometime.

I'm allergic to excessive gloating of kpop fans or music stans in general. Well! Now that I think about it, you can also see the same trend on everything. Marvel vs. DC, NBA fans, even politics. I guess being cocky is innate to some people. Being proud is one, but when you spent most of your time obsessing about your faves' achievement for your own personal reasons. What would you get from that aside from the short term dose of dopamine? So it's perfectly fine for fans to shy away from these over technical stuff. As for the refusal to accept facts? The reason can be simple which is refusal or lack of understanding/knowledge on how the data was interpreted. Quantitative Data Interpretation can be really confusing for a lot of people hence they would rather be confronted with simple facts like list etc.

I think we should be careful with "for the sake of fanwars". While in the end, I agree that the fanwar happens, I've even seem some cases where a chart will trigger another fandom because they assume the intention is to shade when I don't think it's as clear as that. But this goes back to my issue about people seeing shade in everything and assumed intentions differ to people based up on who "the bringer of stats" (term courtesy of nevermindmejin) is. It's a sad state that we often find ourselves in on this forum.
