I wanna say More & More bc it really stopped Twice’s upward trajectory for a good year, especially in Korea

Scientist didn’t do that well but it didn’t have that much hype bc of The Feels and was overshadowed by it. More & More had LOTS of hype but still wasn’t well received

Nonetheless, their most flopped title is still bigger than most group's best performing song. KTL has 4.3mil ULs on melon despite being called a FLOP song.

If we are going to be strict, it's For Life. Absolutely nobody cares for this song. It charted horribly and is by far the most forgotten EXO title track both in Korea and internationally. That's being said, it was mostly due to saturation. They have released 3 title tracks, a unit debut and a solo debut in a spam of only 6 months. It's hard to associate this track as "flop" because it was never supposed to hit, just to milk EXO-L a bit more I guess

Sales wise, I'd say Obsession was their biggest flop. It sold pretty bad, roughly 60% of their last comeback (Don't mess up my tempo). Seeing by the time, it was the least hyped/expected EXO comeback I've watched, the release of it was pretty non eventful. There are reasons for it, but for thei last comeback before enlistment I was expecting better. On Spotify this album holds a clear inferior b-side streaming count compared to any of their main comebacks, while the title track seemed to be OK stream-wise (meaning casuals probably liked the songs), the core fandom just shrugged and went back listening their older songs

Charting wise DFTF was their biggest flop, although just like For Life it was never supposed to do well in first place. It was unpromoted, released during military hiatus, without members who are quite popular, after a number of "scandals" (Chen, Chanyeol) and after many members debuting solo. Nevertheless, it looked like this one got better fandom support. It did better in some things than Obsession, like album sales, and the bside streaming are quite good. O think this time the fandom actually enjoyed the EP, unlike Obsession. But some factors such as like of activities drained the comeback pretty fast which cut of the song legs quickly, if the same song was released from 2015 to 2017 I suppose it would have charted far far better

Now concretely, I'd argue EXO biggest flop is, actually, Lotto. Every other comeback I listed had a very clear context and reason for why it underperformed. Lotto doesn't, it had everything: A group on its prime, lots of hype after a hit/signature song, a dedicated and eager fandom, a very strong OT9 line up, promotions, etc etc, but somehow did poorly on Korean charts and is their worst selling repackage album. Granted, Lotto is still more successful than any Boygroup in that period (minus BTS), but it was kinda of a step back from EXO total domination years before
