Does being under a big label always mean making a lot of money?

The people making money are those that have individual CFs.

Concert albums etc profit is shared with the company and 7-8 ppl.

A big misconception you'll make money only if you' don't use other producers and get cf and modeling gifs regardless of the comapny. The stuff we see on Internet about the money division ain't even real there's no source.

idols from big companies have access to way more connections and resources to help them bag brand deals and cfs so they'll make way more money than an idol from a smaller company, even if the idol from the smaller company might have more out of a profit split

It's hard to say, I believe every contract for every group is different, even from the ones of their own company.

I think Lee HI still made alot of money under YG which is why she was confident to go on her own way and fund her career as she sees fit

Baekayeon and 15& are unfortunate case of people not caring about vocals and talent if they don't fit the narrow definition of their visual standards

Tbh I don't think jype even tried to promote them much

Cjsh memebers still had jobs as instructors in SM even if their singing careers tanked, that's not an option in smaller agencies

The best way for an idol to become rich is by building their own company and start selling some random stuff that fans would like to buy. Then start investing most of your income as warren buffet did. Time is the biggest factor for investing once you are young.

a lot of money is relative. i dont know all boy groups but cant remember a single gg that shouldnt have come out somehow wealthy. they surely do better than the smaller companies.

That's what I was thinking. If we're talking about the idols themselves making money, then it comes down to the opportunities they're able to secure and the terms of their contract, both easier to get more favorable conditions when they can negotiate a unique contract.

Yes, it does. The competition is harder to get selected, but once you debut, you're set. You will have a huge loyal fanbase from the start of company stans, and the attention from the general public. CFs are guaranteed, at least nowadays, when everybody want a part of the loyal piggybanks , eh, fans, and it doesn't really matter if you're the most talented or prettiest: the propaganda machine and media contacts will make sure to convince everybody of your exclusivity. You can half-ass it up there on stage, as long as you keep to the contract (stay out of real scandals, keep lovers quiet, and your weight down). Even groups that are considered flops (only in comparison to other top groups) have made more money than 70% of all the nugus combined.

Of course, the ones really making bank are the agencies, arena managers, and the middle men between agencies.
