but tbh people are so focused on technique when i can guarantee you more than half of the vocal ranking enthusiasts don't even know what the hell they're talking about and just use some jargon to "prove" their point

most of the time this just results in the more popular ones being ranked higher

are ear piercing high notes really that nice to listen to?

sure it might be the people's opinion but i feel like most of them are just impressed at how "difficult" something sounds rather than how good it sounds

I love all of her songs so far even the OSTs. But for the most favorite song, I'll pick Opening! It really like a waltz.

NCT is so strong in vocals that even strong vocalists get underappreciated simply because there’s someone even stronger. 😹

Jaehyun

He’s a main vocal but in a group with Taeil and Doyoung, he’s often underappreciated. (I mean I get it but..) Doyoung talked in an episode of music space about how well their vocals are often paired back to back and it helps guide him on his pitch, which I thought was interesting. I always think his vocal adds richness to the blend too and he provides more falsettos and ad libs than people realize he does.

Chenle

Has some of the same problems - in a group with Haechan and Renjun, who have very distinctive vocal styles, he’s often underappreciated.

Kun

Again, he’s in a group with Xiaojun so I get it, but he has an underappreciated voice that does a lot of the background vocals. SM also prefers to have him sing higher because he can but you can hear how strong his voice actually is when singing in his natural register vs the lighter, softer airier way it’s usually used.
