Who will have a bigger solo career? 95
The result is only visible to the participants.
Album sales, they are almost the same. Not sure with digital and overall celebrity status.

depends of the song but to be fair on the ground was in English
bigger where?
me
You have to think of it through the eyes of a company as greedy as JYPE.
They won't see half a million, they'll see it as 400k less than a group comeback for a similar time and money investment.
I think you're being a little pessimistic here. The contract expiration is only a few months away and JYPE is basically at Twice's mercy if they want them to stay. It would be pretty damaging not to allow Nayeon to continue her solo career if they want her to stick around. And, mind you, she's arguably the most popular member in Korea. It would be a financial loss to do something to make her want to leave.
Both
Why are y'all saying Nayeon will have cbs? Are you guys forgetting TWICE is a group of nine which focuses mainly on group activities? This solo debut was in the vault for 2 years. The only reason it's seeing the light of the day is because contract renewals are close.
After Nayeon, it has been emphasized several times that Twice will have an OT9 cb and unit activities. Pretty sure if they are really renewing, another world tour is coming next year so yeah NOLO 2.0 won't be coming until the next two years.
It's a toss up for me, really. Both are extremely talented at different genres imho.
that being said, Rosé is an accomplished musician and her predominant language proficiency is English.
so in terms of exploring markets, she may have a slight edge on that front.
If we purely stick to Kpop, then Nayeon could possibly have more opportunities to grow a solo career.
Not people understimating Rosé here as if she wasn't the second most listened kpop female artist behind BP when she debuted, as if she didn't sold 600k without the 2nd kpop boom sales, as if she doesn't have the 3rd most streamed kpop female soloist album behind Somi with an actual Full and Lisa only, as if she didn't topped billboard global 200, as if she didn't peaked in 450k uls with an english song and managed to chart her english bside too.
Please the whole incertainity about yg not letting her release music excuse is even more bs, because if she leaves yg, she will release more music and if she stays she will have the power on her side to decide her contract.
after finally getting through Nayeons album. I can honestly say I think Nayeon will have the better career. Even her b-sides were more interesting than Rosè's songs to me. I might be biased bc I really like Nayeons voice. But I'm sure Rosè is going to do really well in her own way with the brand deals and whatever else she decides to do.
Let me get my magic ball real quick
Yeah but Twice is the most successful JYP acts of all time. They should be hold into different standard. JYP is dumb but they are not totally braindead when it comes to management
idk why some people think Rosé wouldn't be very successful in Sk when she is actually one of the most popular 3rd gen idols and have gotten viral several times in sk for her voice and koreans generally love her singing, also her solo debut charting in kr was good considering both the songs were in english. The only thing I am personally concerned is if she stays with yg, how many solo cbs she can get, that's all.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we'll have to wait years for both Nayeon's and Rose's next solo comebacks. BP is inactive as a group so I have zero expectations for their solo music activities. And JYP is notoriously bad at promoting solo artists.
But if I had to guess I'd say Nayeon in Korea and Rosé internationally.

Not sure what you mean by this. Rosé is an amazing artist but don't really see how she's an accomplished musician and Nayeon isn't, especially since Nayeon has more writing credits out of the two.
Must we always pit women against one another just cuz
It's a big planet, more than one person can be successful and carve out their own niche
Exactly! Like not more than one solo female artist can be really succesful or more than one girl group lol Meanwhile female solos and girl groups are thriving We've had 3 female soloists with over 500k album sales in the past 2 years and multiple girl groups are surpassing 1m album sales do u guys realize how amazing that is in general
