He is pretty popular among ifans I think and he is the one of the members that get pushed for gigs besides seungkwan. He is pretty outgoing in comparison to a lot of the others so it makes sense. The other members are more low key. I think for general public, if it was seungkwan instead of mingyu it would have hurt seventeen's reputation more since he really hussled to get the group on variety shows.
