Why some groups having one month teaser period before comeback?

I'm pretty sure Twice has been doing this forever. They still do it but I guess they care a lot about running those pre-orders for as long as possible and build up the hype as much as possible.
pretty sure JYPe is the one that does it.
Most companies have 2 weeks, 3 tops.
Longest was for NMixx since they sold the prepackage.

Yeah, they typically do a month-long teaser period
And I think I'm more invested in more JYPE groups than any other company.
So it's sort of surprising when teaser periods are so short for other artists.

No until TOL it was 3 weeks max. It started with guess who when JYPE dropped the comeback poster 1 month and two weeks earlier

It feels like a month to me
I mean, FOL's official announcement was released on October 7, 2021 (I don't count it being announced at the end of The Feels mv because it didn't say the name or release anything about the concept) and the actual release was November 12, 2021. So more than a month

Le Sserafim. Most killing parts were out, I think the debut would have more impact with less teasers.

I tend to forget a comeback is happening when they announce it ages ago.
But companies are doing this to open the albums preorders more than one month before.
But imo a comeback should be announced 3 weeks before while opening the preorders and then teasing it 2 weeks before the actual release.
So the wait doesn't seem THAT long
and it silly bc preorders numbers mostly happen in the first week, the other remaining week add like 100-200k

well, this actuality hype up the fandom so... and yeah, it's cuz of the pre order, and makes difference, of course, otherwise they wouldn't do, not all companies do this thing of "omg look they sold 1919292929393 albums in just 7 days!" and then add up only 200k in the final pre order, some companies only drop the pre order sales a day before the cb

Oh yes i remember! I don't think it killed the hype but unnecessary.

I was going to say something but I don’t remember.
I haaaate it. The tease and then month long wait for anything.
It’s all your sig’s fault.

BTS have been doing a month long teasers since 'WINGS' I guess. But they didn't use to release only pictures during that time till 'BE'. They have always done an 'Intro' song for their album which has always given what vibe to expect from the album. They also used to do short films, concept teasers using some of the tracks on the album so it never felt dragged. Actually I guess it made people anticipate those tracks from the album. But yeah since 'BE' they only release pictures so it does kinda feel dragged. Like MOTS7 had 6 weeks of prior notice and we got 3 new songs in that period so they flew by quickly. And then that album became the most ost successful Korean album ever. So I guess it helps to have longer time between the announcement and album release. If there is music in between. Like pre release.
I mean if there's music in that period then I don't think it matters how long the album takes to release.

Yup looks like the main reason is pre orders.

Companies still need to understand that it seems
