I just started watching A2K and it got me thinking about just how many survivals shows we had recently. JYP had Y2K, YG had the babymonster thing, R U next, now dream academy. Plus all the new groups the companies are planning on debuting even though they can't manage the ones they have (*cough JYP *cough ). And so many of these groups just get left behind, CLASSY hasn't had a CB in 10 months, Everglow was left to gather dust for a year, Nmixx and Itzy are not doing well, lightsum is in a pretty bad state even though Gidle is doing well and they're from the same company.
Currently NJ, Lee Sserafim, IVE, Gidle and Aespa are the top 5 but the rest? There's just so much and I worry about Aespa with SMs management. It feels to me like companies are just rushing to capitalize on the market without plans to sustain these groups in the future. Every bubble has to burst, that is the rule I live by. The real-estate market burst, the stock market, and kpop is bound to burst too. Plus with all the money laundering these companies are doing I think its just a matter of time before it all comes crashing down.
What I think will start to happen is too many groups will debut leaving companies abandoning the previous ones, the market will become so oversaturated that the west will loose interest as well. Once the western money goes out it's over. Kpop just can't sustain itself the way Jpop does, that's why everyone and their mother is appealing to the west. I just feel bad for all the groups.

But they wouldn't have Itzy cuz JYP most likely wouldn't let them keep the name and again even all of Gfriend didn't go to one company. There are a lot of factors that just make Itzy leaving very unrealistic. Don't get me wrong I made a whole post about how JYP is mismanaging Itzy and Nmixx so I am not in favor of JYP at all.
It's just the chances of a whole group being able to leave their company and continue with another company is very unlikely. Ideally yes that would be something I would like but the reality is far from ideal.

that they struck gold. 99% of kpop companies suck ass. Even big companies suck at managing their artist. 50/50 not only had a good CEO who cared about them they also had a global hit, they were on the Barbie OST for gods sake. When the news first came out everyone (including me) was on 50/50 side simply because we have seen SO MUCH SHIT from kpop companies that we automatically believed them. And now all I can do is look at them and go "what were you thinking?"
And I feel for the CEO the most, all the people mocking him as dumb piss me off so much. He was a small business owner who put his all into his work and got a knife in the back for it. I'm sure so many nugus from small companies must look at 50/50 and rage because how could you fumble the bag that badly? And I don't blame 50/50 for all of it since obviously the parents had a say in this as well. Honestly if I was them I could never forgive my mom.

The only thing ITZY should consider it's leaving JYPE
As much as I want to say yes, not sure it would be the best move for them. Finding the right company is tricky because most of them suck. I remember when P Nation was founded and everyone was like "Hyuna and Edawn saved" but that didn't turn out to be the case. As a group Itzy can't leave, the chances of them finding a good company willing to take all of them as a group is slim to none. They most likely wont have the access to the Itzy name as well. They also don't have the level of fame required to pull it off, honestly the only groups who have that are BP and BTS.

It is a narrative based on the BGs I have seen and heard thus it is based on MY reality. It is a thing called perspective, when two people can look at the same thing and view it differently. Again all talk and not a single recommendation.
I would be more than happy to change my mind and find a new boy group to stan. No such thing as too much good music.
