It's fine to not let people online annoy you. For me, this is my safe place where I come to have fun. I am not gonna be annoyed in the one place that is a fun place. So don't feel guilty and just block people. Your feed will be so much better.

I have been fan of BP since debut, I have followed them since the first pictures of them were released. I have fallen out of touch recently true, I now have a job so it's harder to watch every video and consume every content. But I love the group.
As much as ideally I want BP to renew and put out music I don't think that is what is best for them. When they first debuted I had this sinking feeling YG would ruin them like he did 2ne1 and I was right.
This CB in general including the tour have shown me that a lot of the passion BP had is gone. And I empathize completely. I am an artist, gradated 2 years ago, I work now. And I have completely fallen out of touch with my art, not only has my skill fallen but the stuff I am making for work now is completely devoid of any creativity. The more and more time passes the harder it is. I haven't painted in months. I am lost in something I once breathed like air.
I see some of that in BP. BP is a group, and when you have a company that is constantly blocking comebacks and pushing them in opposite directions it's very hard for them to maintain the same passion and coordination they once had. When BP first debuted they just had IT, I can't explain it really. They just had something that I couldn't look away from. Now a lot of that has faded. Individually they still have it, I still watch everything they individually make, I watched the godforsaken Idol just for Jennie.
YG as a company has completely fallen, all they have is BP. Big Bangs legacy is in tatters so is Yang Hyun-suk, AKMU does well but they're pretty much only good in SK. I just don't see how BP benefits in anyway from YG. Quite frankly they have outgrown YG. A part of me wants them to renew but I think that part of me is selfish. I want what's best for them and I don't think that's YG.
It makes me sad to think how much more we could have had if YG had played their cards right. I'm still grateful though, BP was the best of times for me honestly.

That seems to be continuing, and I think it'll become even more popular since the younger folks in the West are much more open-minded and accepting about consuming Asian entertainment.
Thank you for accepting my apology. I mean I hope so, I want nothing more than for kpop to succeed I am just feeling hesitant and quite frankly I am more of a pessimistic person in general. So I tend to have a bleaker outlook. Like I hope I'm wrong.

You specifically mentioned the Rising Sun Flag. It's like a Black person being mad at the confederate flag. Are black people being 'racist' when some white person is flying a confederate flag? Of course not. Nor is a Korean person being a racist with the usage of the rising sun symbology.
You tried to paint Koreans being upset at the Rising Sun Flag as 'racist', a surface level ignorant take.
Korean have every right to be upset at the rising sung flag. That is not the point I am making.
Let me explain this in more simpler terms. I was using the rising sun as an example of Korean expecting people to respect their culture while not extending the same respect to others. We have seen this the many times when black people have rightfully called out blackface/cultural appropriation only to be met with excuses and justifications. That is the hypocrisy I am calling out.
Being defensive when you experience racism but when you are racist to others playing it off as "they're too sensitive" or "everybody is racist". That is the point I was making.

BIG. There are whole companies from different countries who make whole teams and literally pay kids to play all day. The prize money for LOL is 2 million. Faker made more than 1 million from LOL (probes more with endorsements and investments). That being said like most sports not all athletes make all that money, most of them retire by mid 20s and playing on a competitive level is pretty hard. So far I haven't heard of women playing on the same levels as men simply because of all the sexism the industry has. The few women teams have been there to be basically eye candy and were not take seriously.

I mean more that they didn't all go to the same company. Also High Up has STAYC and BEP makes all their music, I don't think they have the funds or the interests to take on a whole other group and produce for them since as far as I know they only have STAYC.
I wouldn't either if I were them, even if they do take the name with them (and that's an IF) BEP is still trying to establish STAYC, taking Itzy on would mean spilt everything in half as all the management will go to two groups instead of one.
