That’s your opinion. Imo wjsn aren’t all that interesting and similar to eachother and their songs aren’t my taste
and thats fine but like ive's songs, wjsn's titles have mostly been objectively good, innovative, and challenging for the artists while remaining cohesive and interesting. starship doesn't play with quality for their girl groups. the issue with wjsn is that they are a large group with no members that known and beloved by korean kpop fans prior to debut.

your shady
your writing off the 4 other members in such a short amount of time. when they just debuted. of course theirs no foothold. no one knows who they were before debut. the other two had time to create fanbase from survival show and izone. your logic doesn;t make sense. give them the same time in 2 years and will see if they don't have a foothold. bts was behind big bang watching on the sidelines while they performed in big arenas, BP was sidelines while 2ne1 was at the top. now look at them they are at the top of their generation.
but this is exactly my point within the first sentence you have written and you've just twisted my words from then onwards. i never said the other 4 members lacked talent but even if they did how would we know? like you stated, wonyoung and yujin have traction the other 4 don't, which is exactly why IVE is popular. this how is that confusing or insulting? its the reality of kpop and what has come out of the produce series, familiar faces and familiar talents. and your last analogy with yg groups and bts just makes no sense

so wheres the xdinary heroes cb JYP??????????

i think a lot of people get delusional about IVE and try to pretend like the group has any foot to stand on without wonyoung and yujin. the reality is the only member who would be successful no matter what besides those two who had the most momentum coming out of izone is rei, who has solid dance, rap, vocals and visuals without any of the four being stand out amazing jaw dropping 2nd gen spectacular.
and i love IVE, i own all of their physical albums and my favorite members are gaeul and yujin. but ive stans need to face the reality that the group itself would be another 4th gen girl group without wonyoung and yujin. that isn't to say that ive don't have great songs, because they do. but so does WJSN, who are under the same company, who have had a fraction of the overall success as a group.
that is to say i am very pleased with the success of ive as i love seeing girl groups do well, and im excited to see what they come out with next

bahiyyih real has the model vibe, her features are prominent and unique
but im a SXT stan till death

ivan is the most underrated male idol of 4th gen and i will not be elaborating

gidle did something insane where they were a smaller group and proceeded to lose their most popular member due to a SCANDAL after considerable time into their career
...and managed to come back with arguably their best song with the best public response since dumdi dumdi...
they are icons for this alone and i am glad to say they are 4th gen leaders

i think o.o is fire but nmixx is receiving girl group disrepect asf. like, lets be real, if nct 127 released o.o yall would be lapping it up
like, the song does what it has to do. it proves nmixx as a force to be reckoned with in terms of rap, dance and vocals. and its fun. i'd rather groups be experimental and different than play it safe (see le sserafim's fearless) any day of the week. that is what kpop is about.
i can't talk about kep1er's wa da da because im a filthy xiaoting stan so im biased.
billlie's ringxring falls into the same category of o.o for me as its experimental and shows off real skill, which i believe is the point of these two tracks being all over the place
i love viviz bop bop but i feel uncomfortable calling it a debut or putting it in the same category as these other true debuts because we all already know what sinb eunbi and umji have to offer, so the stakes are not the same. either way i love bop bop there just wasn't as much to lose so they just released a fun track
ive eleven was good, not great, but good. its like what le sserafim's fearless was supposed to be if you ask me
im not a fan of fearless. it is so deadly boring which is such an intense shame because yunjin, chaewon and sakura are ICONIC. i guess this is what happens when you debut someone who has been training for 3 months....i love kazuha but interesting choice hybe
the song is boring and shows off nothing which is disappointing since i think hybe gives strong debuts (txts crown and enhypen given taken are crazy good)

i feel very upset for weeekly. they have some star players, monday, soeun, jiyoon, jihan are star talents that i could see in a big company. specifically monday and soeun, those two are talent beasts
anyway, i blame ist and kakao. i know its common to blame the company but i would truly like to call this the clcification. if you will, there are many factors working against weeekly all at the same time despite the members being great and the albums having banger after banger.
first, ist is a stupid label (respectfully?). maybe not their fault as they began as a small company but i still feel like they put more effort in funding and supporting apink than weeekly. which from a long term revenue standard is pretty stupid to me. im pretty sure the apink members can do their own thing at this point and have their own solid standings but i digress
anyway they suck at promoting weeekly and manage to always give them a comeback at a bad time. not to mention their debut was AMAZING, so much hype and momentum and then they proceeded to give them a song that was worse than the debut, which you simply cannot do as a gg from a small company (see clc dissent from the amazing life altering pepe to the hot garbo like)
and the clcification with ven para. i get that holiday party flopped but it flopped because it was like a c version of after school. they didn't have to hobgoblin tf outta weeekly. they aren't built for that. it was borderline painful watching soojin, jihan, jaehee and zoa attempt that concept. i was only convinced it wasn't horrible because monday and soeun can pull off anything. they are too young for this tragedy

im not an army but what

every member serves a purpose and fills a space within a kpop group. the idea of a filler member is ridiculous and completely fan made. companies spend years carefully choosing and curating trainees in order to fit a certain group and the image associated with that group. it isn't a willy nilly whatever lets just through this person in a group kind of process.
literally name anyone you believe is a "filler" member in a group and i can explain to you why they are absolutely not "filler" and serve a clear purpose in the group.

im so excited to see newer kpop ggs appear high on the charts again. for the past couple of years it has been a rough patch for ggs in kpop, literally the daily charts in terms of ggs only had time for mamamoo, blackpink and red velvet when they were active. this past year we only now are seeing oh my girl. i am excited to see a revival of gg popularity and its great because both aespa and stayc are doing different and distinctly unique concepts- the potential is insane
-
it was a very safe debut - it wasn't unique but i also wouldn't consider it bad. however i am concerned about the clear divide between the talent levels and popularity split between the members. it is clear that juhyeon, sangah, chowon and nayoung are the older/more experienced and more popular members dominating screentime and the songs while huiyeon, yujeong, hina and jian are younger, less known and do not hold any of the main or lead positions and therefore get minimal lines.
however i think the group is great and i have been a fan of juhyeon since the unit! i am excited to see what they do
